Brad stared through the dirty soot-smeared window on the 22nd floor of the office tower. Overcome with depression he slid the window open and jumped through it. It was a sheer drop outside the building to the ground. Miraculously after he landed he was completely unhurt. Since there was nothing to cushion his fall or slow his descent, how could he have survived the fall?

he landed on a ledge or terrace just below the 22nd floor. he couldn't see out the window to what waited below, so who's to say that he didn't land on a window washer at the 21st floor? working his way upward of course, haha.

Uhm, maybe he was in another building. He looked though the window so he might have been looking at it from the outside. Then, "he slid the window open", but it doesn't clarify which window, and it also says "outside the building" but which building again? So, he might have been in a short building looking up the tower!

Edit: something is fishy though with the "dirty soot-smeared window"!
