The Longing of My Werewolf

Chapter 1: Lyca, The Human Beast, The Wolf Legend

Those that wander into it's territory will surely die...

Dogs howled in the night. the moon is full, a sign of something bad will happen. My footsteps echos in the darkness. It seems too eerie to go trick or treating. Its Halloween, yet there's not much kids out. Not too long ago, there was a power outage in the neighborhood. " I guess I shouldn't be surprised no one's out," I mumbled. My parents will be mad I sneaked out but i thought it'd be fun. "Bad idea," I thought.
I wandered into downtown of Olympia. "It should rain soon. I better go home," i said, rising my hand,palm up, in front of me to feel for raindrops.
I started walking in the direction of my house but it'll take 15 or 20 minutes the way I'm going. There was a shortcut around the forest instead of going through it but...
There's a legend about a beast. 80 years ago there was a pack of wolves that were known as gods, guardians of the forest, but...
Suddenly, the wolves began disappearing one by one without a trace till there was only one left. No one knows why or how they could have disappeared. Researchers still don't know. There was a boy once that went around the forest. His name was Lyca, 5 years old. Before he wandered into the forest, it's been said that the spirit of the remaining wolf god is still lurking in the forest. Lyca was lost and he walked deeper into the forest. They say that the spirit followed him to the end of the path. Then it attacked him. That's what people thought happened to Lyca. 4 hours later, his parents called Lyca's friend's house, wondering why he hadn't come home yet. The parents wondered too. Lyca's parents called the police. They searched for days around the city but never found him. Finally,they searched the forests, around and through it. The police found something of Lyca's. It was the shirt he had worn the day he went missing. It had spots of blood and it was torn.
Lyca's parents collapsed into tears. The police continued the search for 3 weeks, but all was lost. Lyca was never seen again.
10 years have passed since his disappearance. The mystery still goes on in the Olympia even to this day, maybe even the whole world. Lyca would be about my age if he were alive. 15 years old. People blamed the wolf god, since Lyca's shirt was found on it's territory.
No one's taken the path around till now. I,myself, didn't believe in the legend. So I took that route without fear. Or so I had thought. I have to admit that it freaks me out a little bit but not enough to stop me.
I didn't know the temperature but it must have been below 50 Celsius. "i should have brought a sweater.
Because of the cold, I walked slowly, afraid to give myself chills and goosebumps. Out of nowhere, I sensed something move from behind me. To my left to the right of the path. I turned on impulse but there was no one there. My heart was racing, my cheeks flushed red from the cold. I felt a sudden tap on my head, it began to rain.
I began walking again but stole a glance behind me. The path behind me got farther and farther away. And gotten darker and darker, deeper and deeper.
I walked quickly, then felt it again. Once again on impulse, i turned quickly,becoming frantic. My legs trembled but I forced them to move.
I began jogging, panting heavily, desperate to get home. My senses went wild as I felt it again and again, getting faster and faster. Hunting me down. Before I knew it, I was running. " I can feel it," I screamed in my mind. " It's staring at me. It's going to kill me!! I'm going to die!!" I looked forward and saw that home was 10 meters away. My face was full of relief but my hopes vanished as I felt it again but this time, the feeling was above me, and it landed in front of me. It stared at me.
It's eyes glowing yellow, his stance is that of a wolf before it attacks it's prey. There's another part of the legend I had forgotten. They said that when Lyca was taken, the wolf spirit had taken possession of his body and began to live with in him. Since his body was never found, no one knew if Lyca was really dead or not. He could have been alive and nobody would ever know.
He might still be alive somehow. Lyca had crimson red hair and bright yellow eyes. This beast was the same. I stared at him in horror. It growled, baring its human like teeth but sharp and pointy. His feelings were all around me, loneliness, sadness, anger, and longing. But he sure didn't look it. He just looked angry. I knew it was useless but I couldn't help myself. I began running in the opposite direction recklessly away from Lyca. My legs were tired but they kept moving. Lyca caught up with me easily and was right on my tail. He flew above me and pounced in front of me.
Lyca growled and glared at me. His eyes told me that, "It's too bad. So young and such a pretty girl, but you..." I shut my eyes as he charged towards me to attack.

" You are my prey."

Nice but you should try to link your indirect speech together. Like when you were describing Lyca's disappearance. Make the sentences flow naturally. They just look jumbled together with no imagery. Looking Forward to chapter 2.
