Full Moon Beast

Two girls were walking towards the annual fair. That night they would be story telling infront of the entire village. The story they would tell was none other than the story of the Full Moon Beast.

The older girl, Tessa, took the story teller's seat (a rug on the sand) and waited for her audience.

Once they had all arrived, she started talking.

"The story that I am going to tell you is not a myth, nor legend or fable. This is a true story that happened fourteen years ago to this very day, but it starts around three months before.

"One day a letter came to the post office. it was then delivered to the mayor of the village who read it. It was from an old witch who was asking for safe passage through the village, but of course, witches were being executed in those times.

"So the villagers set up a trap for that witch, who blindly walked into it. She was put on trial and found guilty of practicing witchcraft. the punishment was, obviously, to be executed. But before they beheaded her, they asked her if she had anything to say. And she shrieked, in her coarse voice:

With my last words, I put a curse on you all. In three months time, the very gates to hell will open up and place a savage beast that shall rampage your pathetic village and murder you all. It shall appear at midnight at this very spot. Mark my words, you shall all die.

"After she had finished 'cursing' them, they beheaded her. But when her head landed on the ground the blood in this shape."

She drew this in the sand at her feet.

"Then three months went by and the night that they had been dreading came. At exactly midnight, like the witch had foretold, a hole suddenly appeared in the ground, through which a giant hand appeared. At first the villagers thought that this was the beast the witch had told them about but then the hand came to the place that the blood symbol had been. The monster was in that hand. Then it was dropped.."

Sevral of the villagers gasped.

"It actually turnned out to be a small infant girl with the ears and tail of a wolf and amber eyes. The villagers bundled it up and took it to the mayors house and he came out. When he saw the creature he turned white. After he got over the shock he ordered it to be put to death.

"When they tried to behead it, the axe shattered into a thousand pieces. When they tried to burn it, the fire spread out around it. When they tried to drown it, they plunged it into the water for around an hour, then pulledwhat sould have been a carcass up... and the little girl gurgled and waved at them."

"They soon realised it couldn't be killed, they put it up for adoption. An old lady came and adopted it, a few weeks later, her daughter and her huband were killed by a venemous snake. Their daughter was orphaned, but her gan adopted her as well."

"The two girls became friends and have lived in this village for the last fourteen years. One of the people around you is a savage monster. And tonight i will tell you who it is. That person is...

"Me!"

ahm d story is kinda familiar...i have heard a story similar like dis but d characters n events wer not quite d same but it was good...keep it up!!! ^_^

not really much of a cliffhanger, the girl cant die and she was summoned to kill so the story pretty much heads north from there
