Welcome to the AnimeFuel Community Forums, I'm the owner of this website Demon fox and lucky for you I'm not here to use my ninja skills on yah, plenty of time for that later I assure you. Instead I'll be telling you a little about this place.

As you should be able to tell by now you are not registered with us as of yet and probably need a good reason to do so. Between you and I we both know you're a lazy bastard and so if you don't even want to listen to the rest of my introduction speech you may as well just go register.

Otherwise here's what you can do on our forums once you've registered. When you register you will be able to chit chat in our forums, entertain yourself with games and share videos with other members. The forums allows you to get access to free downloads shared by members, fast and direct support with video problems from members and staff and make anime requests which are priortized above anyone else's.

There are many more things you can do but our aim is to bring together a community of video fans where you can feel comfortable and make lots of friends around the world. God knows you need them.

So get your butt over to the registration page and join my I mean OUR community. Oh and one more thing watch out for a crazy guy with a gun he's wandering around somewhere in these pages and you'll probably see him if you become really slack with the forum.

This message will self destruct once registration is completed.

Default The Art Gallery

This doesn't necessarily need to be off topic, but I thought a touch of culture would do us all a little good. I chose to post this here in the hopes that sharing our favorite art works/ artist might provoke some interesting discussion and debate, while avoiding pictures of lol cats and such.

I say it doesn't need to be off topic, as I'm interested to see the fine works done by anime artists as well as those of past and current masters of visual art.

These guys start the show for me:

Paulo Uccelo
you can check out most of his work here: http://www.paolouccello.org/ but these three paintings of his in particular I find astounding.

Battle of San Romano

Bernardino della Ciarda Thrown Off His Horse

Micheletto da Cotignola Engages in Battle

From what I recall they originally hung in an estate in Florence, but were separated (thievery I believe) and the three haven't hung together since. Two were purchased by Du Louvre in Paris, while the third remains in Florence.

Yasushi Suzuki:
Not long ago I purchase the manga Purgatory Kabuki and I've been stoked on this guy's art ever since. I'm quite the fan of detailed art work, which is often cause for my appreciation of anime and manga, but Yasushi takes it overboard and manages to make even the elegant and beutiful look deadly and brutal, and vice versa.

cover of purgatory kabuki vol. 1 (it's big so you'll have to click, sorry)

Hm I was amazed by Gaudi when I was in Barcelona during summer. He isn't a painter but his buildings are piece of art!

I also vistited Chagalle, Picaso, Matisse museums bu I was captured by Dali. I never imagined that actually I would like a crazy yet genius painter.

I'd seen details of some of Gaudi's buildings and they're really quite impressive. They seem almost fairytale-like. I'd love to visit one someday, I'm sure it'd be quite a marvel.

Chalk drawers do some wild stuff, though i do like that chair wall more.

I've seen this guy when I go downtown a good handful of times. For the most part I've seen him drawing vermeer's "girl with a pearl earing" though. It's rather impressive

chalk art overload! haha

I don't know if people dig on photography as an art. A lot of the time I don't, but there's a few folk from time to time who sway my opinion. This guy, August Sander is possibly my favorite portrait photographer of all time. Though it's so subtle, you can totally read into the character of every person he ever photographed. And he tended to photograph people in a manner to make them all seem in direct contrast to those they're with, despite their close relation. I love the last one.

He's more a personal favorite, as I find most people say meh. I thought I'd share some of his work regardless.

I loved those pictures. The first one is amazing. The girl in the back makes up for a lot of thoughts. Who is he? What's he's doing there?
