Vampires or Werewolfs

i think what most vampire supporters are failing to realize is that even though some vampires may be sexy and tasty looking, they are in essence less human than werewolves because they lose all humanity when they are turned whereas werewolves, who in the classic belief only turn during the full moon keep their humanity completely except during their 13 hours every few weeks that they loose control.

however to be fair, i will also look at the more modern interpretations of vampires and werewolves

so if we take what i gather and understand from this thread so far, it can be said that:
vampires can walk in daylight
they can sometimes keep their humanity
they are not always immortal
they don't necessarily need to feed, they can go into a sort of hibernation

as for werewolves
they can sometimes turn at will
they are practically made for killing vampires

of course i admit i may have failed to mention points supporting either side that did not come to mind but all in all i have to say my vote goes toward the werewolf because when it comes down to it, i would rather be a human who loses control maybe once or twice a month and has the rest of the time in between to try to do good than a soulless beast who can either kill people or stay asleep forever

Well, it really depends on which kind of lore you're talking about when discussing vamps and weres. When it comes to brute strength and such weres are more often considered the stronger kind, while vamps have mental powers, atleast considering most lores.

It's control versus lack of control. Both are essentially animals though one contains most of the physical appearance.

Personally I can't stand the thought of that you're actually eating someone, as in guts, flesh and the whole thing, so I consider the bloodletting the lesser evil, ironically enough.
