Welcome to the AnimeFuel Community Forums, I'm the owner of this website Demon fox and lucky for you I'm not here to use my ninja skills on yah, plenty of time for that later I assure you. Instead I'll be telling you a little about this place.
As you should be able to tell by now you are not registered with us as of yet and probably need a good reason to do so. Between you and I we both know you're a lazy bastard and so if you don't even want to listen to the rest of my introduction speech you may as well just go register.

There are many more things you can do but our aim is to bring together a community of video fans where you can feel comfortable and make lots of friends around the world. God knows you need them.
So get your butt over to the registration page and join my I mean OUR community. Oh and one more thing watch out for a crazy guy with a gun he's wandering around somewhere in these pages and you'll probably see him if you become really slack with the forum.

Cover songs.
One band doing a version of another band's song. Hate them? Like them? Like some? I love the radio 1 live lounge songs, especially when a band of a completely different genre takes on a song. Like when an indie-rock band sings a cheesy pop song, or a rapper does a rock song. I just really like hearing a completely different version of a song. However, I can't stand it when a pop band just does lazy cover, after lazy cover, when it just sounds practically the same as the original, just not quite as good. So what are your favorite and least favorite covers? Favorite? I really like Fallout boys version of Beat it. It's got a bit over played now, but I think it's a great cover. His voice really works with the song, and it's a really up-beat, dancing around kind of song. Another of my favorites is The Arctic Monkey's version of Girl's alouds 'Love Machine'. They just made that song sound good. There were song really good ones when they did that 40 years of radio 1 and each band took a year and had to cover a song from that year. I can't remember most of them now, but there were some awesome ones, and some not so good ones. Worst? Girls Aloud and The sugar babes doing Aerosmith's 'Walk this way'. Most terrible cover ever. Even if it was for charity, it was an insult to all that is good music. The other really terrible one was Mark Ronson's cover of Radiohead's 'Just'. You CAN'T cover Radiohead songs. It's just wrong. Tom Yorke has the most amazing voice, so whoever you get to sing it, will never sound as good.

I like hunting down good covers. The big radio station in toronto does all day covers once or twice a year and it's always super cool to hear some of the songs bands cover. A lot of the time cover songs go under the radar too, so you have to hunt around for them, which is another fun aspect to it. here's some good ones:
the pogues: covering london calling by the clash! (so stellar, they use an accordian!!!) patti smith: covering sweet jane by the velvet underground anti-flag: covering ever fallen in love (with someone you shouldn't've) by the buzzcocks the various covers of where did you sleep last night (they range from nirvana to rod stewart, very cool) the johnny cash covers are pretty darn cool, too. bill shatner's cover of common people by pulp (hilarious, but amazing) gonna have to dive through my library and dig up some others, cuz I loves good covers. but bad ones make my teeth cringe. they're definitely a hit or miss situation.
