Welcome to the AnimeFuel Community Forums, I'm the owner of this website Demon fox and lucky for you I'm not here to use my ninja skills on yah, plenty of time for that later I assure you. Instead I'll be telling you a little about this place.
As you should be able to tell by now you are not registered with us as of yet and probably need a good reason to do so. Between you and I we both know you're a lazy bastard and so if you don't even want to listen to the rest of my introduction speech you may as well just go register.
Otherwise here's what you can do on our forums once you've registered. When you register you will be able to chit chat in our forums, entertain yourself with games and share videos with other members. The forums allows you to get access to free downloads shared by members, fast and direct support with video problems from members and staff and make anime requests which are priortized above anyone else's.
There are many more things you can do but our aim is to bring together a community of video fans where you can feel comfortable and make lots of friends around the world. God knows you need them.
So get your butt over to the registration page and join my I mean OUR community. Oh and one more thing watch out for a crazy guy with a gun he's wandering around somewhere in these pages and you'll probably see him if you become really slack with the forum.
This message will self destruct once registration is completed.

Well its been a while since i made a topic in this debate room. Well I am tired of seeing debate topics that are about witch of these anime are the best. So this time the topic will be a fight between the movie industry or the gaming industry. I want to know what people think of these two. Which is bigger, which does more for the economy, Which one has more flops, we just need to fight to see which is better. I won't start this one off like i did the others, I want this to start from scratch. Here are the links to the other debates that were real debates and not people naming what they like better. Not saying there are good one out there but there are a lot of self minded ones.

Why are movies winning all of the sudden? Currently the Videogame Industry pulls in several billion annually, in amounts of profit far greater than any other media of entertainment.
I'd post a link stating that it does, but I can't find it anywhere. |

I think the gaming industry is growing strong and is finally beating the movie industry. But for a long time I thought the movie industry was doing better, but now it is losing its touch in my opinion. The gaming industry is catching up at quite a fast pace. This is because of the new systems, especially the Nitendo Wii.

Okay, I found the link. Videogames beat movies, and they beat dvd's, but they don't beat dvd's, AND movies together.

movie industry would win in a fist fight...but it would fight like a girl and i'd feel conflicted with the results.

Which is bigger? The movie industry is much bigger than the gaming industry, at least at the present. There are a couple reasons for this. Reason 1: Longevity. The movie industry has been around for nearly a hundred years, whereas gaming has only been around for the past 30 years or so. That gives movies a huge head start already. Reason 2: Availability and universality. More people watch movies than play games. Cinema is enjoyed all around the world by billions of people, in all countries. You'd be hard pressed to find a person who has never watched a movie in their life, but millions have never picked up a game controller. Also, it's about $8 to go see a movie. If you want to play some games, you have to go buy a $200 game console, and then a $50 game. Only people who really want to play games are gonna go out and buy them. Which does more for the economy? The Movie Industry. A game is created in an office. You have a team of programmers and designers, maybe some voice actors, and it is all made on a computer. In order to film a movie (live action) you need a cast, a crew, a set, and more. Many movies filmed in foreign, poor places generate millions of dollars for the area and can increase jobs. In fact, when they shot the movie Castaway(you know, the one with Wilson, the volleyball, and Tom Hanks) the island it was shot on became a tourist attraction, and has generated millions of tourist money for the country it's a part of. (I want to say it's in Costa Rica, but I'm not entirely sure). Which one has more flops? Once again, the movie industry. Movies cost a lot of money to make. A whole lot. They are made in hopes that box office sales will exceed the movie budget, and turn a profit. Games do the same thing with sales, but it costs a lot less to make a game. A game's budget can be much more easily turned to profit than a movie for two reasons: they cost less to make, and cost more to buy. Say a game is $50. Two people buy this game, that's $100 towards game sales. Movie Ticket is $8. It will take nine people buying tickets at that much to generate just as much movie sales. But in the end, which one is better? Well I love me a good movie. But I like games even more. Games offer much more immersion than movies, and where a movie only lasts about 2 hours, games can last up to dozens, even hundreds of hours, and that's just one game. Games are interactive with players as well. You can't choose what a character in a movie will do. Although movies are on top now as far as profit is concerned, I imagine within the next decade games will at least match, if not surpass that.
