I want to know your language!!!

Hey guys...

Inspired By Ayumibee i would like to no about all your languages, slang and swear words in your native tounge! Even english because Slang and swearwords vary from contry to country!

Well my language is maori from the country of new zealand (Hell Yeah!)

N e ways ill start things off...

"Hello" in maori is "Kia Ora" and is Pronounced as (Key - Are - Or - Duh) Now say those words fast and you get your first maori greeting!

Next is "Good Bye" in maori its "Ka Kite", Pronounced ( Car - Key - Teh)

"Piripiri Mate" which means "Deathnote" in Maori, Pronounced (Pee - Dee - Pee - Dee - Mar - Teh)
Say it fast or it wont sound right!

The reason we pronounce our "R"s With "D"s is because we roll our tounges and "D" is pretty much the closest to a rolling "R" if you haven't done it before!

** I like to use english words to help with pronouncing my language cause its easier that way i guess**

Nice,a rather interesting topic..So here i go.
My language is greek,from..Greece obviously.

"Hello" in greek is "Γεια",But on english it would most likely be 'Gia' as for .. (G - I -A).

"Good bye" in greek is,"Αντιο"as for (A-D-I-O).

Hmm..Deathnote in greek would be..em..aaah..."Το τετραδιο του θανατου" or something like that.you pronouce it "To tetradio tou thanatou" but i guess you wont really understand this one.

Also i'll carry on with the language and add 1 more word.
"Wait" as for "Περιμενε!" is pronounced "P-E-R-I-M-E-N-E".

Greek is a rather weird language just like japanese.So it's pretty hard understanding our language,not to mention one of the hardest,most complicated languages of all time.1 word could be use in a lot more than just one setence.

Viszlát=Bye (v - sit - s - l - but - t

Szép=beautiful (s - table - p)

The hungarian language is pretty hard too we got 42 letters XD like (gy; ty;zs;sz;ü;ű;ú;á;é;ly;dz;dzs;í;ny)

In hungarian: Szabó Bianka a nevem. (s - father - b - saw B - sit - father - n - car - father father n - there - v - there - m
(We prefer I' am Bianka tailor-> I'am =vagyok)

As far as how it's pronounced I can't really explain it -_- good luck with it! :D

I guess a fair way to explain the English language, is most everything is pronounced the way it's spelled. For example, "Hello" sounds just like, "Hell-oh". Say those two words together and it makes, "hello" lol. Some of it is just too simple (for me) to explain so yeah. Possibly someone else can explain it better lol

Ok here are some random phrases in French :D
"Bonjour, mon nom est Ryuuzaki. Heureux de vous rencontrer." means, "Hello my name is Ryuuzaki. Pleased to meet you."

i got 2: Vietnamese and Cantonese

Viet:

Hello: Xin Chao (Sin Chow) (x's are pronounced like 's')

Good Bye: same thing

My name is...: Ten toi la... (vietnamese t's are pronounce 'dth', as in 'width' )

thank you: Cam on (cahm uhn) (vietnamese 'c' is pronounced 'ck' as in 'thick')

you're welcome: Khong co chi (kong co chee) (vietnamese 'kh' is pronounced 'kh' as in 'can')

Cantonese:

hello: lei hou / nei hou ( the younger generations replace 'n' with 'l')

goodbye: dzou* gin (my keyboard cant display the correct character, but the 'o' and 'u' are supposed to have two dots above them. to make this sound, make an 'o' with your lips, but say 'ee' instead. sounds kind of like 'dzoi') (note: dz is 'dz' as in 'godzilla')

thank you: do dze

your welcome: m s'ei ('e is a short 'a'. kind of like 'a' in 'what' as opposed to 'ah')
