Lightning going at it with her blade slashing it right and left as Sazh pump endless round of lead, while Vanille back them up. After a 3mins the Dreadnought fire it's laser blowing a hole in the ground then all four of them (remembering Hope.) then the fight continue for another 4mins till Lightning took it down with one final blow.

“Pulse is crawling with things like that isn't it?” “Got me. Not even the Corps has access to intel on Pulse. Soldiers in the field fight blind.” “Yeah, I noticed that. But don't you need to know exactly what you're up against?” “Target's a target.” Lightning told Sazh. “You like to keep it simple, don't you?” “I stick to my goal.” “As long as you have a goal, you can fight?” Hope asked Lightning “You can stay alive.” Lightning told him then they climb up a steep pathway found a down ship stop and rest, to think what to do next.

“Not much of a future for us, huh?” “Hard to picture a happy ending.” Lightning told Sazh “We don't even know where to go.” “I do. There” “Eden? The Sanctum's seat of power. Oh, that's a great idea. “You want that. You're a Pulse l'Cie now, so you just want to snuff out Cocoon!” “No!” Vanille begin to scream at Lightning “What about Serah? She said to save Cocoon! It might even be our Focus to make sure Cocoon stays-” “Our Focus doesn't matter. I don't take orders from fal'Cie. How I live is up to me.” she told Vanille who's feeling guilty again. “Don't you mean how you die?” “Think like that, and it's already over. Better to pick your path and keep moving. Don't worry. I'm after the Sanctum. I'm not out to destroy the world. If it did come to that, wonder if our 'hero' would try to stop me?” “You want to fight Snow now? “Snow deserves it.” Hope said and he went off to join Lightning. “I don't know what I should do.” Vanille told Sazh “That makes two of us.” “Hey! You're taking care of me.” Vanille said as she slap him in the back almost knocking him off, “Well I won't be if you keep pushing me like that.” Sazh told her.

Lightning was going to destroy Eden when Hope finally catch up, “Wait for me!” Hope scream out as he saw Lightning. “I'm going with you.” “I can't babysit you anymore.” “I can fight. I'm not afraid.” When Hope said that a group of soldiers surrounded them “Great, a PSICOM hit squad.” Lightning said as one soldier blew up their only way escape then Lightning and Hope took out their weapon and the fight begins.

Lightning and Hope went all out on them kicking every single one of them asses. “Not bad.” “Really? Thanks.” Hope said to Lightning. “Uh-oh. Army's out to play.” “What now?” Vanille asked Sazh. “What now? Well, we could stay here, but shouldn't we-” “Run? We should run. If we rush in now, we'll just get in her way.” “You know, you're right. I guess. I mean it's not like Lightning needs any help.” Sazh told Vanille then they walk the other way.

“There will be more soldiers. We should keep moving. Lightning? Are you worried about the others? I'm sure they got away okay.” “So can you, if you leave now. With me, it'll be fight after fight. I don't know how it'll end. It's anybody's guess.” “I know that. But-I need to be stronger. Lightning?” “Call me Light.” “What's the plan from here?” Hope asked Light. “Through the Gapra Whitewood to Palumpolum. We'll find transport to Eden.” “I live in Palumpolum. I can show you all the shortcuts.” “No side trips.” “No need. I don't think l'Cie are welcome at home.” Hope told Lightning then their off to Palumpolum to find a way to Eden.

They continue through the Vile Peeks fighting Soldiers and robots along the way, then they found another Dreadnought and Hope found a good use for it he got on and crush every enemy that gets in his way.

After he got off they continue on then they came to a bridge and Hope trip. “This isn't working. I mean, you're a liability. You'll just slow me down.” “What?” Hope asked as he quickly gets up. “I'm sorry, but I can't protect you when-” An intense pain engulf Lightning then her chest begins to glow a bloody red light. “You can't leave me here! You've got to take me with you!” “Enough! The whole world is against us!” Light said as she fell to her knees “I can barely keep myself alive. Let alone some helpless kid! I don't have time to baby you. You want to get tough? Do it on your own!” Light told Hope then a bright red light burst out from below her and a weird pink carving show up on the ground then a mighty metal soldier know as Odin burst out of the carving. Now Lightning must take control of him before he kill both her and Hope so she fight it while Hope back her up. It took about 15mins but she finally took control and Odin transformed into a unicorn. After the battle Lightning fell to her knees but Hope came to her aid.

“Lightning! Your brand looks different. Was that an Eidolon? Like l'Cie can summon?” Hope asked Lightning “Magic and mumbo-jumbo. I must've hit head on that Purge train.” “Um...Am I really in your way? I'll do better! I'll try harder, I'll-” “Hope. We'll toughen you up. I'm sorry about before.” Lightning told Hope then they continue on fight monsters with Odin for the first time then they stop and rest.”We'll stop here.” “Sorry.” “Don't sweat it.” Lightning told Snow as he collapsed to the ground. “I'll look around. You rest up.” Lightning told Hope and walked away when she came back she found Hope dead asleep. She went to the other side sit down and lean her back against the rock and she just sit there watching him. “Mom?” Hope said dreaming “Not by a long shot.” Lightning said and begin to smile.

After walking for a while Sazh and Vanille found them selves in a scrap yard. “No sign of soldiers.” “Guess Lightning got their attention.” “I wonder how Hope's doing.” “They were headed towards Palumpolum. Kid's on his way home. You can bet on it.” “Good for him! What's wrong?” Vanille asked Sazh “It's good-if they manage to slip in quietly. All of Cocoon is in the grip of Pulse-phobia. If a l'Cie pops up on the radar, all hell will brake loose.” “They don't even know why they're scared.” “Afraid of what they don't know. Afraid to find out more. Gets worse the older you get. I'm terrified of what will happen. The world probably would be better off without Pulse l'Cie. I mean most of them.” “Gee, thanks.” Vanille told Sazh. “Let's go!” Vanille took his hand pulling him along.

They went on through fighting enemies everywhere they turn. Then they found them selves standing in front of a entrance block by a pillar with switches around them, so they pull every switch there and went through the now open cave and came out to find a beautiful sunset over a forest and a waterfall next to the exit. “We've got to sleep somewhere. This look okay?” “Uh-yeah! Find by me!” Vanille told Sazh as she laid down a tarp to sleep on. “All set. Okay, good night!” “Not a care in the world.” Sazh said to him self and went where she is, but Vanille woke up and reach for something, “What?” Sazh said as Vanille drew a line on the ground. “Do not cross this line. Understood?” “Grow up.” “And good night again!” She told Sazh and went back to sleep, Sazh laid down outside of the line and fell asleep. An hour later Sazh felt something against his back and found Vanille lading next to him and he notice that she crying in her sleep. “Still a kid.”

Above them high in the clouds group of ships gadder as a big air ship comes out of a cloud. “Couldn't run if you wanted to.” Fang told Snow. “Hoo-hoo-hoo! Look at you! Wonder what's under the hood of that thing?” “Keep your pants on. You'll get a peek soon enough. Just try and behave.” Fang told Snow as a soldier walked up to them. “He's come to meat you.” the soldier told Fang as she put hand cuffs on Snow then they walked through the door.

“The Sanctum has intelligence on the other l'Cie already. It's only a matter of time.” “You'll never catch them.” “I see. We'll need your help then, won't we?” “Serah...” Snow said as he laid on the floor.
