Cute Smiles and Happy Laughs
(I had to split this up into 4 different posts)
It was a cool crisp October morning when the alarm on my clock went off. I yawned and sat up and looked around my room. I laid my head back down on the pillow and though for a moment before I heard my door, slowly open. I looked over at the door and in the hall way. There was a small shadowy figure standing there. I smiled and sat up, and then let out a light chuckle as the figure started to run towards me and jumped on the bed.
I let out a light laugh as the figure then climbed on top of me and hugged to me. I then smiled and hugged the figure. The figure is my 5 year old son. Cuteness, energetic, happy and caring all in one. I could not have asked for a better child. He cuddled up to me and kissed my cheek. I smiled warmly and kissed his cheek back and then held him to me.
“I wuv you mommny...” He said in a cute voice.
“Mommy wuvs you too,” I said back, smiling warmly.
I know you might find it alittle weird for a 5 year old to say “wuv” but it is a mother and son thing we have done since he was a baby. He leaned in and nuzzled my cheek warmly as I held him close to me. Then he wiggled out of my arms, jumped of the bed and ran to the doorway. I sat up, pulled the covers of my legs and slipped my feet into my slippers.
Can't wait for kindergarten...see all my friends..and we make cookies today!!!” My son said, bouncing up and down excitedly.
I stood up and walked towards him, picking him up in my arms and spinned around. He giggled cutely, and when I held him close, he giggled sweetly. I should mention that I am a kindergarten teacher for a small school. The classroom consists of 8 kids. That is also including my son.
“Mommy, mommy mommy!!”
“Can I wear my tigger pants and shirt today pwetty pwease?”
“Why of course you can,”
He smiled and ran off into his room to change into his clothes, while I went into the bathroom and changed and got ready for the day to come. Today we were going to bake cookies and then I was taking the kids to the park to relax for a few hours before they got home. As a teacher, even though my students are 4 and 5 years old, I still have to plan events.
I walked out of the bathroom about 10 minutes later, brushing my hair as I looked around. My son then ran past me giggling and then he ran around me and hugged my leg. I smiled and patted his head lightly. He looked up at me with big, shiny, smiling eyes.
“Breakfast mommy, then off to school and then I see my friends and bake cookies..”
“I know, I know, How about we get some cereal and then we will head out?”
“Sounds good mommy!”
He said running out of the bedroom and into the kitchen. I smiled and followed behind him quickly. I found my son trying to reach the bowls on the top shelf, but he was not tall enough to reach them yet. So I walked over and pulled out his favorite land before time bowl and his Winnie the pooh cup. I then walked over to the cupboard and pulled out a box of cheerios and poured some into his bowl. Then I poured out some milk and handed him a spoon. I myself started on a cup of coffee as I looked over the class list for the day.
“Let's see I have the Torrien twins, their cousin, of course I have my son and her and him and her...awesome another good class,” I said thinking, as I sipped my coffee.
I turned my head over lightly and looked at my son who had just finished his cereal. He smiled up at me and then jumped of her chair and ran to my side, hugging me as I finished up on my coffee. I nodded my head and smiled. My son then took of running down the hall to were his Disney school bag was. I watched him for a second and just couldn't help but smile.
“Hurry mommy! Hurry!”
“Okay, I'm coming,” I gave a light chuckle.
I smiled and walked over to the front and and opened it, looking outside and seeing that it was not that cold outside. No need for jackets today. I took my son's hand and headed out the front door and then turned around to lock the door.

The weather outside was nice, with a light breeze. The leaves on the trees were turning colors and beginning to fall from the trees, winter was approaching. I smiled as I walked with my son to school. I looked down at him and smiled warmly at my son. He then looked up at me and have me a cute look. His eyes shined with cuteness and happiness. I smiled happily and then bend over and lifted him up and held him in my arms and carried him. My son is my life and is all I live for. It is so rewarding to see his bright and happy smile. I love my son, and I am proud to be his mother.
It wasn't long before we got to the school were I teach. It was a small school, but a really nice place. The building was brown-bricked and was only one floor. I looked around and then inhaled the air. It was such a nice day, I could tell going to the park was going to be really nice. I sat my down on the ground and took his hands as we walked inside.
It wasn't before long that the rest of the class had showed up and everyone had begin having up. We always started of the day with the morning song. This weeks song was about happiness and childhood. Then everyone took a seat over on the carpet as I walked over to the desk and lifted up the attendance sheet. The first name on my list was my son. Of course he was here since he came with me to school. I then looked at the next two names on my list.
“Seala and Kaiza Torrien,”
Two hands shot up in the air. One was Seala, a girl. She had long red hair and bright blue eyes. Her dog like ears and tail were black colored. She had a twin brother whoes name was Kaiza. He had soft brown eyes and blond hair. Like his sister he also had black ears and tail. They were both twins, Seala was born 10 minutes before Kaiza. They have a younger sister who is 3 years old called Luna and a 1 year old born baby brother named Raphael. Seala looks just like their mother and Kaiza looks just like their father.
I smiled and took out a red pen and ticked their names under the present box. I then looked down at the next name on the list.
A young boy who was sitting in the center of everyone placed his hand up in the air. He had bright, ice blue eyes and sleek blond hair. On top of his head he had chocolate brown furred wolf ears and a small furry brown tail. He was half wolf and half human. He was also the older cousin of Seala and Kaiza, but only by a few months. He has a young sister who is 2 years old and a new born baby brother named Ryu. KC then quietly placed his head down and gave a small nod.
Suddenly a hand shot up the air and waved frantically. I looked around and then saw the figure of a small boy jump to his feet and then jump up and down flicking a red fur cat tail to the side. I couldn't help but smile. Keita was half cat demon, half human, but he mostly took after his mother. Though he has his fathers looks. His red cat tail was always flickering to the side and his red cat ears were always on alert. He had bright purple colored eyes and a mess of red hair.
A couple of seconds later a small, slowly raised in the air. A small boy with white hair and bright red eyes looking around quietly. Yahiko was part fox demon, part human. He was the quietest and the shyest kid in the class. He also had had a pair of black fox ears and a black fox tail. His parents are both teachers. He gave a small smile and then placed his hand down.
I smiled and looked around at everyone sitting on the rug so peacefully and quietly. Their eyes were watching me. I looked at my son who was watching me carefully. He caught my gaze and then he smiled cutely at me and waved. I gave a small wave back and looked at the last two names on the list.
“Sophie and Marriilyn Mitera,”
Two hands raised in the air very slowly and very lady like. Twin girls Sophie and Marilyn. They were twins, did everything together, just like sisters. Marilyn was always dressed in pink or purple and she always had a disposable camera around with her. Sophie was all about the music. She knew everything about the latest and oldest music. The most they had in common was they always were up to date on the latest fashion. Yes...they are both 5 years old and they are into teenager like trends already. They were both half wolf demon, half human. Sophie had brown hair, bright green eyes and black wolf ears and black wolf tail. Marilyn had brown hair and golden eyes. She also had black wolf ears and tail.
I couldn't help but smile at all the kids. They were all sitting there, smiling happily. Their eyes watched me, filled with such curious and their smiles were so whimsical.

About 15 minutes later, It was now story time. Every day I would read a story to the kids that teaches an important lesson. Today, just happened to be my sons turn to pick out a story. I smiled as I watched him walk over to the bookshelf and pulled out a story book. He then huddled over back to me and placed the book in my hands.
All of the kids gathered on the rug again as I sat down on the ground in front of them. My son crawled over to me and crawled onto my lap. I smiled and looked down at him as I began to read. I read them a story about a little bird whose dream was to fly. And every time the little bird would try he would fall. His mother and father and friends all kept on encouraging the little bird. The little bird never gave up, and then one day his dream came true. He was able to fly. When I finished reading the story, all the kids cheered and clapped there hands. I looked at all the kids and smiled.
“Now, who knows what the meaning of that story was?” I asked.
All of the kids began to think and then 30 seconds later, Seala raised her hand up in the air and smiled.
“That...To never give up on your dreams because they will come true afterwords,”
“Very good, that is exactly what it means,”
After I had finished talking, KC raised his hand in the air.
“There is also another meaning in that story that I picked up while you were reading,”
“There is? And what is that?”
“That no matter what you do and were you go and what your dreams are, your mother and father and friends will always be there for you,”
“Yes, that is correct. Very good KC,”
“Show off!!” Yelled Kaiza.
“I was not showing off, I was giving an answer,” KC responded
“Yes you were!!”
“No I wasn't!!”
“Well, I am going to be like my mommy and daddy when I am older!” Said KC
:Oh yeah! Well I am going to be like my mommy and daddy too!” Said Kaiza
“Well my mommy has a better sense of smell!” Added in Seala
“We have the same mommy, Seala” Said Kaiza
I sighed and then i placed my son on the floor near the other children and then walked over to were the three were fighting. When I got near them, they all suddenly stopped and looked up at me.
“If you all don't stop fighting, I will have to put you all in time out,”
They all nodded and then KC smirked and raised his hand.
“Can we have a day were we draw pictures of what our parents do, and then another day were our parents come in and talk about their jobs?”
“Yes!! I love that idea,” Yelled out Sophie.
“Me too!” Cheered Yahiko
“My mommy is a cook and I forgot what my daddy does...” Said Keita.
“Love it!” cheered Marriilyn.
“Can we, can we?” begged Seala.
“I love the idea because I get to talk about how I get to spend the whole day with mommy!!” My son called out, running over to me and hugging me.
“Okay then, I will write up a note tomorrow for everyone to give to your parents,”
All the kids cheered. I smiled and looked up at the clock. It was now 9:30am. I looked over around the room and smiled and then nodded my head.
“Okay everyone it's time for...”
“COOKIES!!!!” Keita interrupted, jumping up and down happily.
“Yes, its time to make cookies but first everyone needs to go over to the sink and wash their hands,”
All of the kids smiled and rushed over to the sink in a hurry. They cleaned off their hands with foamy soap and water. While they washed up I started to set out all the things they needed to bake cookies. About 5 minutes later everyone was all washed up and I was handing out instructions for everyone to do, It wasn't long before I was helping everyone make cookies. They used cookie cutters to cut out every kind of shape. Stars, circles, snowmen, leaves, flowers and hearts. I suddenly felt a tug on my sleeve and I looked down to see my son smiling at me.
“I made you surprise mommy,”
“Aww you did, well let me see,”
My son ran off to the table were he was working. I quickly followed behind him until I got to the table were he was. I smiled wondering what it was. He moved out of the way and on the table there was a cookie dough heart shaped cookie. On it, there were letters that said “I wuv mommy”. I couldn't help but just smile. I bend over and hugged my son close to him.
“I wuv you mommy,”
“I wuv you too my little cutie pie,”
After 30 minutes of preparing the cookies, they were finally ready to be cooked. I told the kids to stand back because the oven was very hot and it could hurt you. They all obeyed. I popped the tray in the oven and set them to bake. I walked over to my desk right afterwords and looked to see what was next on the list to be done. Then I smiled. We were going to take the bus to the park and then when we got back were going to make a special bag for everyone to take home cookies to their parents.
I helped the kids clean up their work areas, and then I helped them clean off themselves. I remember telling them during the first week of school that it was always important to clean your hands before and after you cook so that no little germie-bugs got on their food, and make them sick.

It was around 10:15am when we started to head to the park. We had to take the bus to get there. We walked down the streets in a single line all holding each others hand. My son was on my back as I was giving him a piggy back ride. We stopped at the bus stop just as soon as a bus pulled up. The door opened and we saw the bus driver was a young man in his 20's. He smiled polity as we all entered the bus. His jacket read the name “Derrick”
Derrick had white wolf ears and white wolf tail. He had long silver hair and bright green eyes. He was wearing a old navy blue jacket with no undershirt on, and a pair of blue jeans. His attention then turned to KC as we all walked past him. KC picked up on this and he turned to look the man in the eyes.
“Hey kid, Hows your mother doing?” Derrick asked with a smirk on his face.
“Mommy doing good.” KC responded, looking at him questionably.
“That's good...I still think about her...”
I looked at the man and saw that KC was becoming nervous. In his eyes, KC had a look of fear, which was uncommon because he was always the bravest kid in the class. I stepped in front of KC and gave the man a cross look. KC, clutched to my shirt and stayed behind me.
“What did you day to him?” I asked.
“Nothing, I only mentioned how much I love his mother...”
“....Do you know this man KC?”
“No...Mommy and Daddy always say to never talk to strangers,” KC said, still clutching to me.
“Your mother and father are correct,” I responded.
“His mother is so...”
“Finish that sentence and I will see to it that you will lose your job,” I said looking at Derrick, with a more stern look.
I lifted up KC and held him close to me as I walked back to were the other kids had taken there seats. I smiled and sat down beside my son. Then I carefully sat KC on my lap and wrapped my arms around him.
“KC okay mommy?” My son asked.
“Yes, KC is just fine,” I responded, smiling at him.
We soon arrived at the bus stop near the park. When the bus came to a complete stop. I carefully sat KC on the seat next to my son. I then stood up. All the kids looked at me. Once again they had that look of wonder and innocence in their eyes. Then all the kids stood up. I walked ahead of them, leading them of the bus. When KC walked by, I caught the attention of Derrick smiling at him. I then paid no attention to him, and helped the rest of the day, we then hurried away a little quicker so that we didn't have to talk to the bus driver.
We arrived at the park a few minutes later after walking just down the street. The park was lovely this time of year. I smiled and looked at the kids, I then nodded my head. They all ran off towards the playground equipment that was right in front of my eyes. It wasn't long before they were all playing on monkey bars, swings, slides and in the sand box building sand castles. My son was playing tag with Keita and Kaiza. I smiled more when I heard their giggles of happiness, and that they were having such a good time. I couldn't be more thankful that I get to teach such a great bunch of kids. I then got worried. KC was not with the other kids. I looked left and right and then I sighed with relief when I saw him sitting under a tree, just watching the other kids. I stood up and walked over to him. I was hoping he was alright.
“Hey KC, are you okay? How come your not having fun with the other children?”
“.....I just don't want to play right now..”
“Is this about that fight you had with your cousin earlier on?”
He looked up at me and gave a nod. I smiled and placed an arm around him.
“You see...mommy and daddy and auntie and uncle are all well known around this town and you see I want to just be like my daddy one day and you see I want to be known around this town one day when I am older,”
“And one day you will be like him, but for now you are just a child. You should be having fun with the other children. You should enjoy your childhood. And fill it with lots and lots of smiles,”
KC nodded and gave me a big smile. He hugged me and then he darted of towards his cousins and smiled. They all nodded and began to play, what I believed was the fastest game of tag I have ever seen. All three children are excellent runners for there age. Sometimes you could hardly see them as they darted around the grassy area, all you could hear was their laughter. I stayed under the tree, then I noticed my son walking over towards me. I smiled and held my arms out to him. He crawled into my lap.
“Mommy, what are we doing after this?”
“Well, after this it will be time to go home, so we have to go back to school and wait for everyone's parents to pick them up and then we will head home,”
“Okies mommy, I wuv you,”
“Mommy wuvs you too,”
After an hour of playing in the park it was time to head home. I called out everyone's name to make sure everyone was around. I smiled and nodded when everyone. We then had to take the bus again. Thankfully this time we didn't get that creepy bus driver. When we got back to the classroom. I checked to see if the cookies were done. They had just finished baking when I saw on the clock that it was nearly time for pick up. I placed everyone's cookies in a neat little bag and helped everyone get ready for pick up. Pickup soon arrived and all the kids parents arrived on time. I smiled and waved good bye to everyone. Telling them that I will see them all tomorrow. After they all left, it was time for me and my son to head home.
We walked down the street together with his hand in mine. He looked up at me and smiled happily. I then smiled and bend over and lifted him of the ground and cuddled him in my arms. He let out a cute giggle and smiled. I smiled aswell as we arrived at the front door. I held him in one of my arms, and with my other arm I reached into my bag and pulled out my keys and opened the door. I stepped into the front door and then my son clutched to my shirt.
“Tired mommy...tired,” He said sleepy.
I carried him to his room and opened the door and sat him on his bed. I helped him out of his clothes and helped him into some 101 dalmatian pjs. I then watched him climb into bed, and I tucked him into bed. I smiled and kissed his forehead and watched him for a second.
“I wuv you mommy,”
“I wuv you too sweetie,”
“I will wake up before dinner,”
My smile brightened and I watched him. He soon fell asleep and I stood up and walked out of his room, closing the door lightly. It had been another wonderful day, another day with my son, another day with my class, another day to see their smiles and hear their laughs, just another day to be a very good mother to my son. His smile, is the most rewarding part of my day.

So.... damn..... cute.... I love it.
I mean.... cute with a capital "AWWWWWWW...."
Great and will there be more? It seems like a good "universe", if I may characterize it that way, to tell more stories in.
