Rebirth Final

Terian. It was in plain sight. A bright light shining in the distance. I looked at Nia only to see her grinning. " Well," she said. " You coming?" I was still shocked by the previous event with the wolf. " Yyea." I said. With that, Nia set off towards the light. Motioning me to follow. We walked for about 10 minutes before I got my nerves under control. I then thought about asking Nia some questions but, she said it would all become clear at Terian. I bit my tounge to hold in the barrage of unanswered questions. I then took a closer look a Nia with the corner of my eye. She was not a scout. She was by heart a hunter. But, something troubled me, she didn't have that much muscle on her. Plus, she was alone. Nobody was in sight and the wolf she was hnting for looked pretty vicious. But, the most troubling, was the magic involved. The sword appearing out of nothing, the teleportation of the wolf, it all troubled me. I, for the first time since I first stepped onto the desert of Mysithia, really wanted to reach Terian. Once there, my question would be answered and all those thorns in my side were finally going to be plucked out.

After about an hour, hunger came over me. " Wait" I said. Nia looked over her shoulder and saw the reason. She stopped. I took out the bundle that Alastor had packed inside the bag. To my amazment, there was only one thing inside it. A pill no bigger than my fingernails. I looked at it with losing hope. Hiow was this little pill going to feed me all the way to Terian? " That's quite a find you got there." Said Nia. " How is it so?" I asked questionaly. " It's an ETM pill." She said. " Garunteed to keep you without food for a day." I looked at the pill in my hand with awe. I poped it in my mouth whole and all. A tickly sensation ran through my body. I jumped to my feet. Full with energy. " I feel great!" I said laughing. Nia laguhed too. I looked at her. Hunter as she was, she was still quite beatiful in my eyes. I felt my ears heat up. Uhoh. I hoped she didn't notice. Apparently, she didn't as she then continued to walk to Terian. I followed. It was not after another hour till we reached Terian. But, It was not what I had expected. Instead of a busling town or city, It was a door. A shining door.

" What." I said. " Welcome to Terian." Nia said. I couldn't swallow this in. How did this happen. Terian was nothing but a glowing door? I walked through the desert of Mysithia to come to this. A dead end? " Why is it a door?" I said with losing hope. Nia smiled. "It always was. You made it that way." Woah! I made it that way? What was she talking about? Suddenly, the door opened and bright light engulfed me. " Go" said Nia. " What." I said confused. " All your questions will be answered." She said. Really? If I stepped through this door, will I really get my answers? I looked back at the bright light. there was nothing to lose. So, with one last look back at Nia, I stepped into the light. I closed my eyes, expecting something to happen, but nothing moved. I opened them to find myself in a dark room. I also noticed I was laying on something. I raised my head only to find what looked like a bedroom. I scaned the area questionaly, what had happened. Then, I felt something. It wasn't pain, no, it was more like rememberance. This was my room from before the Earth was destroyed! I looked around in amazment. Then I froze. Understanding gripped it's cold claws around me. The world I traveled in. That magical world. That adventure, it was nothing more than a dream.

Hm... you could have made it longer... But, can't complain with ending...

yea. Could have made more parts but felt like I wasn't going to be finishing it later. So, decided to end it. Did the ending catch you?

Kind of.... but it was obv when you mentioned doors... :/ I was kind of disappointed

THE END or not?
It is a nice ending for a short story and the best fit. It couldn't evolve much differently if you wanted to keep the story this short. HOWEVER, if you ever feel the need to continue it, you can! It would be great if the actual turning point wasn't that it was all fake but that the dream was not really a dream (smth he would find a bit later)! But, that would require a lot of time and a long story with maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany pages. So, I say leave it at that. It was a really nice story. But, keep it somewhere and when you graduate, you might want to put some more effort in it and write a book! What do you say?

yep. I've heared about me being a great writer and all. But, I'm not aiming for that goal. If anything, it's what I'll do if all else fails. Still thx.

P.S. It's true what you said. I wanted to keep this short for many reasons.

One of them is that'll I just get bored and never finish.

Second reson is that I'll bor you all with a 60 chapter story.:/

So, no this is the ending. No more of this seires. It was a good story with a fitting ending. No need to improvise.

Also, Savke, It was all that I could come up with to keep this story under control. If I put something like a statue or a portal, it wouldn't fit in as well. Besides. I made the story lead up to a door. Nothing else would fit.

I didn't say that you should write books for a living. I'm just saying that along with your job in the future, you could write books as a hobby! You could finish this book and publish it. A lot of people with a talent in writing that don't want to follow that profession write books in their free time! It is a nice hobby and one that also gives you money instead of take them away!!!
