the world stops
the fights, the people, the lies

Believing the more you listen
the more the problems go away
Feeling the beat
like it's now part of you
Closing you're eyes
seeing life before it changed
before it turned around
and life became a chore,
a punishment
These words don't judge

they've become you

even when you don't
Blocking out the world

numbing the pain
You start to realize
time doesn't stop
Not for you, not for anyone
No matter how hard
or how bad
your problems may be

that you have to look fear

and fight back

Wanting to start a new beginning
You take out the headphones
you come out of hiding
and fight back
Knowing that you can fail
but always getting back up
Never letting the world push you back down

Wishing people would see what lies beneath your tears
You pick up the headphones

You rely on the words

But with a new approach
