Was wondering if anyone had played and finished all the new .Hack games, I've been meaning to play them but I wanted to go back and finish the original 4 first as I had stopped after the first one b/c I was playing something else, I was curious how good the new ones were as I heard a lot of hype when the first new one was coming out and they looked really good, but haven't heard anything really since. Also I heard at one point that if you had a completed save file from the original 4 you could load it into the new set sort of like you can for the Suikoden games garnering you a few little bonuses here and there, like extra armor or a hidden shop or an extra char, something to that effect, and if that was true, what exactly the bonus was

i got one of the new ones cant remember whick one lol they didnt realy fit in with my playing style but i can say there are slight differences in game but it follows along the same lines as out ones

No, I haven't played any of the new games. I can't find the fourth old one for a reasonable price. I like playing games in order.;)

I know what you mean tangaloor, something like this I have to play in order, I didn't even want to play the Suikoden games out of order, so I had to go find copies of 1 and 2 when the third game came out, now those had ridiculous price tags on them for used ps1 games

I've only played the first one, but that one was my friends so I didn't get to beat it. I've been looking for these for a little as well.

I don't have any trouble finding the games, I just haven't gotten around to finishing the first 4, in fact I should have all 4 of the initial series, I just have to remember who I loaned 3 and 4 to

and for you info, while i was back in japan visiting family i heard that a .hack MMORPG is going to be released in japan sometime late this summer... dont know if and when it will come to the states.

they've been talking about that possibily since around the time the 3 or 4th game from the first part of the series came out, it's just a question of if it's true and how long will it take to program it and work out enough of the kinks to put it in beta, and will they have a US/International beta at the same time as the Japanese or will we have to wait 3-9 months like we do w/ everything else

I’ve played through the new .hack// games and iv got to say they where freakin sweet as far as the battle system goes I kind of miss the old where you could run away whenever you where in over your head as far as the story goes its pretty deep I would suggest playing through the first four games and watching the animes .hack sign// and .hack roots// before playing these games if you want to understand the entire story.
I give it a 9/10 as far as the overall game series goes.
