hackers: heros or villans?

the above are basically guidelines all hackers follow. some may add to it but those are the core values
note:
they have categories the major ones are white hat grey hat and black hat
<second most common> white hat= only hacks for knowledge
<most common>grey hat= hacks for knowledge but will take benifits when given opportunity
<rarest>black hat= hacks only for personal gain

and black hats verge on crackers who are not hackers btw
crackers=break passwords and codes for malicious purpose

were talking about hackers not crackers

after looking at those what do you think about them

i personally revere hackers. they are pursuers of knowledge. even black hat hackers pursue knowledge even if its for malicious purposes. they can do things normal average joes cant and respect eachother doing it

Personally, if they do bad things with computers, they should get their asses handed to them. If they hack someone on this site, I bust their asses. As for good hackers, I still wonder.

Seems someone has a Superiority complex, thinking that just because he's a hacker(IF he is), that ALL of the hackers are the same way, but there are Good hackers(Those who work in cybersecurity, and other police related stuff), Bad hackers(those who do it to purposely commit crimes, and other malicious stuff) and Self Hackers(hackers that hack for self benefit or just for fun).
He seems like a child who just because he has an IQ slightly higher than the average, he thinks everyone should bow to him, that he can do whatever he can, and that everyone should think exactly like him.

cool, never heard about the white/gray/black hats categorization before(and they say the Internet isn't educative) well still, you get the main point right?

Hacking someone's PERSONAL computer or e-mail for whatever reason , is just wrong ... BUT if they hack a PUBLIC site for any reason, even stealing EXCEPT sabotaging then i think thats fine .

weel is depends on who they are and what they do cuz i myself am learning to be a hacker thoug i dont know exactly which catigory ill fall under but i know it won't be the black hat

orly well hackers just make their own ideals
i too am in training to be a hacker
