Kurai Manor

The grandfather clock strikes three in the morning as Saki’s eyes begin to open. It was dark and cold in the room that she was in. It was a small room, however, only big enough to fit a twin bed and a futon, which she was laying on. When she sat up, a black silk blanket fell from her chest and startled her a little. Lightening flashed from the outside through the tented windows. No, they weren’t tented. Dark, thin curtains blocked the view from the outside. Thunder rolled as Saki placed her feet on the floor and she rubbed the sleep from her eyes.

Where am I? Is this a nightmare? Saki thought.

She noticed a vase on the nightstand to the right of futon of where she sat with her blue rose was carefully placed in it…a second pedal has fallen while she slept. She doesn’t remember feeling any pain like she felt the first time it fell. Then the door opened and stood the man that took her in. He glared at her for a moment, his eyes glowing red. Then he glanced at the blue rose. Another face peered behind him: a woman with black eyes and black, long hair.

“Can I bite her, sire?” she asked the man coming in through the door.
“No. No one here is or will be able to bite her. I will keep her here until I figure out why. Tell the others not to harm her. Now, go.”

“Yes, my lord.”

And she left, closing the door behind her. Lightening flashed once again and the thunder roared as he came closer. Saki took hold of the flower and the vase tipped over, spilling the water that was in side. The only sounds to be heard were the rain and the drops of water from the table hitting the floor when the man stopped walking. Other than that, an awkward silence fell between them.

Free me! Find your true love, Saki. Said the voice from within. Only a true loves’ kiss will free me!

What? Free whom?

The power from the rose; it shall be free!! Find him, Saki. Find your true love!

“You are not like the rest of the humans. Why are you so different?” asked the man.

“Who are you? Where am I?” Saki asked with anger in her voice.

Free me!

“I am Lord Nite Kurai and you are in our manor that borders the east of Tokyo. There is just forest between us and the city. It will take a day for a human to reach us. So, you have nowhere to go, but to stay. You may go once I am done with you.”

“What are you going to do with me?”

“I have to run a few tests to see why I cannot bite you.”

“Tests?! No! You won’t lay a finger on me!”

“Sire, here is the Natrol Liquid Melotonin you asked for. Shall I inject the dosage?” asked the woman from before.

“Yes.”

The woman came near her and Saki froze. She injected the needle into the skin and she winced at the pain. Everything blurred. Colors mixed in with one another with one big swirl and Saki’s eyes closed with a soft sigh. Then everything was dark. She could hear Nite tell the woman to take her to the lab and then everything was quiet.

Wow i didn't expect that.. to think that guy is a lord of a manor outside tokyo.. to take her and make tests, your something else.. i like it! it makes me want to know what happens to her and if saki will be okay after the tests or will she become something else.
