Eureka Seven/Good night, Sleep tight, young lovers

i made this thread because the Eureka Seven movie was extremely disappointing to me, and am in extreme need to vent, and would love to hear peoples opinions on this movie.

first off i'm not saying it wasn't a good movie i just hate what they did to it. i watched the movie a day after finishing the series and was expecting a continuation, or a prequel or something actually related to the storyline of Eureka Seven. the whole alternate universe idea was just annoying to me, it really seemed like BONES was forced to do the movie so they pulled some random off story out of their butts. one thing i didn't like was how easily they jumped into the whole eureka and renton relationship after them only seeing each other grown up once. yes they knew each other as children and were separated dramatically, but you don't fall in love with a girl only having memories of her from when you were 6. that i think diminished the eureka and renton relationship from the series that we all loved. also the fact that eureka would so blatantly say things you don't just spit out, like when she would say "im a robot sent by the image" i mean come on! how horrible is that when you compare it to the series. in the series it takes many episodes to explain what she really is and what that entitles, it wasn't figured out in a single sentence. also in the series shes a humanform coralian almost identical to a human, and in the movie she says that shes a robot......now to me that idea was just ridiculous, when i heard her say that, immediately i had images of her having like metal plating under her skin, and that ruined the eureka character for me right there. why couldn't they say something like humanform image, i mean if your going to mirror the series why not do it right. also the way they handled the crew of gekko state really annoyed me, to be honest i liked their storyline, how they were wronged by the government and are gonna die way to early because of it and only wish to live happily in "neverland" but the fact that they pretty much turned the crew of gekko state into eureka and rentons enemy's was the biggest flaw they made in this movie. one, the gekko state crew played horrible bad guys, their plans were never thought through and seemed like all the complications could've been easily fixed, the way they didn't even try to explain their situation to renton, who in my opinion would have gladly helped considering that his and eurekas life's weren't in danger at all.
to me this whole movie seemed like an alternate version of the series that they desperately and forcefully crammed into a 2 hour session so that it could be viewed on the big screen and shipped to every movie theater possible.
other annoyances include the horrible script and the way the reused actual scenes of the series in the movie.

i'm sorry if this sounded whiny, its that i am just in love with the way the series went, that when i heard about a movie i was extremely excited and was utterly crushed by what i saw. i finished Eureka Seven in three days having just recently been really interested in anime.

also i was a little saddened to find out that the original airing of this show was three years ago! obviously i knew that i missed the original airing because i watched the entire series online(i'm not stupid)but by three years!?!
this is only a problem to me because after watching Eureka Seven i was addicted to it, and literally couldn't think of anything with out going back to the series. at that point i had to research the internet to see if there were any plans for any new episodes or movies, thats when i realized that the show was from three years ago and lost all hope for any continuation of the series.

but when i found out a Eureka Seven movie came out, it gave me a little hope that it might spark up something in the minds of BONES and have them finally realize they cant leave the eureka seven series the way they did.

did not saw the movie yet but due to your raising the content it seems its been poorly made but Eureka Seven is still in one of my Best anime list

True, the movie was disappointing. The mini Nirvash and The End was like wtf? Since when did Eureka Seven go Miyazaki. :P
