Hunter:Part One- The Last Hunt

First off…. This is very bad. I have very subpar writing skills. But I am so bored; I am going to post it anyway.
I wrote this when I was a Senior in High School for an assignment. It was based on the Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer. It only needed to be in Couplet form, meaning 1st and 2nd lines last words need to rhyme. It did not need to be in Iambic Pentameter, look on Wikipedia if you want to know.
It is kinda long so bear with me. And like I said it is bad. I will have a reference at the bottom for some of things I say.

With his Great Sword,
As useless as a board.

The greatest hunter among men,
Is about to meet his Zen.
---
And now all will know,
This Hero’s name is Pern.
---
He had fought for so many years,
And shed so many tears.
---
But now he is held fast,
By the one who is the last.
---
The year is One of Nine,
Just beyond the Draconic Mine.
---
The time of year was cold,
That is why Pern was bold.
---
Dragons do not like chill,
For they are easy to kill.
---
This Dragon once believed in peace,
But this Hunters life he will cease.
---
“If you want to know,
I will let you go.”

The Dragon had said,
With its eyes burning red.
---
“Tell me of your first hunt,
Just to be blunt.”
---
“THAT IS SOME REQUEST,
IT IS ONE OF MY BEST!”

Pern yelled from his jail,
Which is under the Dragons tail.

“If I am entertained,
Your freedom shall be obtained.”
---
“Fine then you shall know,
Of my first hunt so very long ago.”

Terms first…… Some are just so you know…
Pern- The world in which Anne McCaffreys series of books is based in.
Zen- Meant to be a place of peace… It may not be right… but it is still cool to me.
One of Nine- Time scale in this word, split into nine pieces.
Draconic Mine- This area is known to be the birthplace of many Dragons that exist and those long dead.
