Immortal Banquet

The host of sin offers a toast to darkness as the gluttonous guests stain the banquet cloth rouge from the feast of lust. The pianist plays her requiem as the guests join in song with their revelry. The artist paints, the images burned in his memory immortalized on canvas. The poet writes, putting words into the unspeakable scene before him. The bard sings, setting rhythm into everyone’s movement. All inspired by the raped and mutilated body strewn upon the table and served with the wine of primal ecstasy. The moment I heard she was seduced to partake of this banquet I ran to her. I knew all who joined became damned. She knew of such a banquet but was too naive to see that they where demons who only wished to defile her and feast upon her tainted flesh. I ran to where the banquet taws’ held. I fought the hordes of demons, I stained my hands with their blood I fought until defeat settled into exhaustion. Until my lungs bled with heavy breathing and vomit rushes from my mouth I cough the bloody vomit and fight on. I run to her I am driven mad in the hopes of not being too late and when I finally reach the feasting hall all that escaped my lips was anguished screams. As I walk to the table, their alter the guests who intervened died a gruesome death. As I lift her body from the table she puts her hand to my face and gives me her gift of a final caress in that moment the overwhelming feeling of loss takes over me. Alas her requiem ends and silence finally takes me
