He really does have a natural charisma. He turned out more voters than we've seen in this country for a long time. In fact, he had more white votes than any other candidate since Lyndon Johnson, not to mention an overwhelming amount of young votes of all races.

Even if Obama doesn't turn out to be as perfect as many think he will, he was still important in raising the political awareness of this country.

i bet most of the kids my age voted for him b/c he was black. Yeah I know they could of voted because they like his plans and all.....to the racist comment seems like you say something bad about someone makes you a racist. oh well that's the world we live in now.

I am Democrat by heart and by family tradition, still im conservative when it comes to certain aspects of society and life. To me in my own opinion having a president like Obama is History already in the US History and a great challenge if not the greatest. There is a lot of racism and controversy already about having an African-American as the head of the country, im neither white or black but im very proud of Obama being our president :)

It was kinda funny. Before Obama won I was lethargic about the whole thing. In my head the white man was going to win cause the white man always won so there's really no reason to be interested. Then he got elected and for the first time ever something political made me happy. It took me a minute to realize it too, we now have a half black president. What in all thats good and holy in the white world did America do to itself? Is this for real? Did that guy just become the president of the US?? Yes, yes he did. NNNIIIICCCEEE!

Am I the only one who wasn't surprised when he won? I was saying he was going to win after McCain chose Palin as a running mate.. that just really wasn't the best choice for him.
Again, I wanted Obama to win, so that was OK with me. :P

i wasn't much surprised i just found out a good portion of republicans did not vote because they knew obama was going to win. if they did voted the outcome could of been different. if he didn't choose palin he would of lost by more than he did in the election.

well either way whoever won i bet my bottom dollar that come the first tuseday of november the man at the head of the country will be hated as much if not more than bush. the thing is this is the wrong time to be president bush was it at the wrong time. all the previous world leaders did nothing about the middle east at all it was on his doorstep and obama has to deal with that and a failing economy and the overall mass falier of the brain of american society. we get lazier and dumber and fatter each day. we should send all the americans to third world countries that way we just might respect what we have

I knew McCain would LOSE as soon as Bush endorsed his sorry behind. He would have just followed bushs' lead so I am glad Obama won. (I despise bush! and anything he's about.)
