Silent Screams of Horror

Here's a little poem I wrote for my English Class. We had to write a scary-ish poem for a poetry reading today. :]

Until thy horror slips away,
Vampires drink and corpses slay,
The wonderful creatures of both night and day.
Life will end and ghosts will follow.
Piercing screams will crawl and moan with sorrow.
Hands will duck and horror squeals.
Following forever at thy lover's heels

Through the forest and yonder lake,
Watching mountains and oceans quake.
Every curse is dropped and into thy heart.
Cosmic wonders light the sky.
Horror screams and Agony cries, then turns into a maniacal laugh.
Sisters, brothers, enough and pass.
Golden beams will finally shine,
Eyes of nature, glory divine.
Waterfall here and sparkling water mirror.
Fairest of all won't you let me be nearer?

Dying and mirrors so much the same
And horror gives the camera all the blame
Loudly and heavily the burden rolls
Roaring through the town like a raging inferno
Screams are heard throughout the school at night
Children gasping, clutching each other with fright
Bluebirds and spaceships taking flight
Wishing the sky would burst into light
Static and lightning scream out your name
Is everything always meant to be the same?

As your smooth lips graze the photograph
And arrogant passersby point and laugh
I'll tell them I don't care for their tone of voice
And show the silent screams of agony twice
And lead them to where the deserts are green and moist
Because everyone dies and screams this way
The screams of night and cries of day
Tears roll down like amber fields
Waving with the wind, dancing and yield
Oh, how the summer is coming to a close
As life gets shorter than you know

Autumn romance and lovers meet
Oh how I wish I could tell you, sweet
But until I let you go
And until I just let you know
Life will be dismal, depressing and grey
And everything will end just this way
If I don't get the courage to tell you why
I'm living this awful truth and lie.
Stories told and lives break.
Which crash course shall we take?
We'll meet again in the sky
When our rollercoasters collide
This life is like a ride on the ferris wheel
There's ups and downs and cotton candy meals
But there's broken-down machines and duct-tape sides
And there's the operator who deceives and lies

With sky blue days and snow that creeps
How will you decide what to see?
Your eyes are crystal, blue and clear
Pools of water like a bright glass mirror
Anything else while I'm near?
Life gets shorter and practice ceases
Now we're in the brand new thesis
Someone's study and brain research
While we're just trying to get by

Mausoleums lie as a lonely old man
Creeping up on children and grasping in its hand
Death will see it's newest prey
And send its minions on their merry way
Death will fall all around ourselves
Wishing us luck as we'll need it by then.
If no one claims this as their own
I'll sit upon this golden throne.
Fall asleep, die, and dream of you.
