Welcome to the AnimeFuel Community Forums, I'm the owner of this website Demon fox and lucky for you I'm not here to use my ninja skills on yah, plenty of time for that later I assure you. Instead I'll be telling you a little about this place.

As you should be able to tell by now you are not registered with us as of yet and probably need a good reason to do so. Between you and I we both know you're a lazy bastard and so if you don't even want to listen to the rest of my introduction speech you may as well just go register.

Otherwise here's what you can do on our forums once you've registered. When you register you will be able to chit chat in our forums, entertain yourself with games and share videos with other members. The forums allows you to get access to free downloads shared by members, fast and direct support with video problems from members and staff and make anime requests which are priortized above anyone else's.

There are many more things you can do but our aim is to bring together a community of video fans where you can feel comfortable and make lots of friends around the world. God knows you need them.

So get your butt over to the registration page and join my I mean OUR community. Oh and one more thing watch out for a crazy guy with a gun he's wandering around somewhere in these pages and you'll probably see him if you become really slack with the forum.

This message will self destruct once registration is completed.

Post the government (duh!)

Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it and to institute new government, laying it's foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.

it means that if our government no longer ensures or safety and happiness we should remove or replace it.

the government is taking away more and more of our rights. so far it hasn't gotten serious but if they went too far and went all Fahrenheit 451 on us we could remove it.

so the question goes:
will the government go this far within our lifetimes. and if it does should we exercise our right to abolish it.

question for our generation; adults need not apply!, but may offer feedback.

In my personal view, I think you can never be sure. Many countries have risen and fallen in the fray of power, and in turn, many governments change.

I consider myself a patriotic citizen of the States, the latter of which has become one of the strongest countries in the world in a surprisingly short time. But the thing is, America is still a very young country, not even half a century old. Anything can happen in the future, and it's up to the citizens in our democracy to fix it.

But I'm hoping as the years progress, history won't repeat itself, and the world becomes knowledgeable in general, where we wouldn't even require radical changes because we'd never be in the bad situation in the first place.

We've gone through some pretty tough times, longevity considered, so I'm "Hoping" that the citizens wouldn't Need to step in. But if such a time ever came, I would find it just for the system our country was founded on to do the job.

Personally, I think the American government could do so much more for the people than they already do. Look at how big of a paycheck the politicians get who knows how often. One of the current presidential candidates flat out said that he doesn't remember how many houses he has (he has 17 houses by the way). If those already in power get more power than they can handle, who knows what they could do. Some of them could go crazy and try to take over everything. Power in the hands of an individual can be dangerous, power in the hands of a group can be accepted by society. If you look at today's government in America though, you see most of the power in the hands of the President, and hardly any in the Senate and House of Representatives.

Dolly, I agree with you on the fact that America is still a young country. However, just because we're young doesn't give us the privilage of doing some of the things we're doing. It doesn't give our government the right to increase the taxes on the common people, when half of those people can barely afford to pay the taxes they already have to pay. People in this country are already struggling enough because of the war in Iraq and the rising prices on everything. This government needs to stop what it's doing, sit down, and seriously look at what their petty struggles of power are doing to the common people in this country.

I never said I sided with the way things are going. Sure, things could be improved, but all things aside the country is still doing well in comparison to many others.

And like I said, it's up to the people to decide what'll happen as far as taxes and the like go. That's why we have elections, and both of the current candidates happen to be lowering taxes (albeit a difference in quantity) on the people that need it lowered. Presently, I believe we're headed in the right direction, but I don't want to stray too far off-topic.

They probably won't but if they do, we probably should. I'm not sure it would be easy though.

A very good question and the answer is a very firm yes. If the government begins to oppress the people then we should over throw them. Comrade you do make a very good point on paper Communism is the perfect government. However the human aspect makes a mess of it. I personally think we should have done like other governments and gone with a monarchy then moved to democracy when we were good and stable.
