Mmmm. Thats a very good question. Though I started watching anime in 1995 and didn't actually start reading Mangas till last year. They both have there advantages and disadvantages. Most of your mangas come out before your Anime. In anime you get to actually see how the characters act, the scenery (Girls yaaay), and the themes. However, in your mangas the story is in detail. Some animes will only go so far like Air Gear. In the anime it goes all the way to the part where Ikki is making the jump to prove his worthness to the generals in Genises. As for the Manga it goes way past that. I don't know I like em both and I don't thing I make a choice on this one.

I like them both. The manga has the show in order and shows are kinda...out of order.

I like anime better than Manga. When I read a Manga, yes it's good, but I find myself eagerly scanning my computer for some news that this Manga I'm reading is going to be an anime. Sometimes the Manga confuses me. At least if I see something like one of those scenes that make no sense and aren't supposed to I recognise it for what it is. When it happens in a Manga I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or if I read something wrong. Seeing it acted out to me is better than reading it. Though I do like to read Manga. I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying that to me anime is better.

I like both. They have good points.
If the series just focus on talking, slow story, I would like it to be in a Manga form. I dont like wasting 30 minutes per episode only to find whatever development after 10+ episodes.
If the series offers heavy action, I would like it to be in Anime form. It is hard to visualize those fighting scenes in paper. Makes you confused.

Yes, It's kind of ambiguous matter. Like most of the ppl, my experience started off with watching anime on TV, that was back in the late 80's and the beginning of early 90's (pretty long time ago). Then I've read my first manga (probably it was Sailor Moon) around mid 90's. And back then I used to prefer anime over the manga 'cause it was just much easier to "acquire" the story, likewise high quality moving-pictures seemed to be way more attractive to the viewer's eye than "motionless" pictures in the comic books. Therefore, back then I used to watch much more anime. Then there was a period of time when I put anime and manga away. I went to the Art School and I had to focus only on the "real art", there was no time for "cartoons," even the teachers would never accept anime or manga as ART. I knew only few ppl in high school that were interested in anime, and they were creating their own characters and stories. However, manga and anime were kind of "forbidden," in opinion of many professors - "these kind of drawings do not develop drawing skills neither the talent".
Anyway, I've had my "reunion" (lol) with m&a at the end of high school, where I met this girl, who used to read manga all the time. I used to borrow from her everything she had ^^ Since then I've been re-discovering my "adoration" towards Japaneses comics ^^
Therefore, I usually read manga first before I watch the anime, sometimes vice-versa. As we all know, often the same story written in a comic book and in the anime are different. Often, I find anime slightly "weaker" than manga and the other way round. For some reasons I prefer manga 'cause while reading it I can identify with my favorite character(s), when I watch anime I feel more just like a spectator. On the other hand anime shows a greater range of dynamics and special visual effects ^^

I like anime more, yes I love that the manga usually provides more information and chances are will take the story a lot further and to a better conclusion than an anime version would but sometimes I get tired of reading books, manga, and subtitles, so it's nice to know I can always switch over to an english dubbed anime if I want to and stop trying to read and just site back and enjoy, although of course sometimes it's just a matter of seeing some of the cool action scenes in the manga animated, like in Air Gear, some of the stuff looked cool even in the manga but when they animated the tricks there were suddenly a lot better, but then there is the problem of the anime only goes up to about volume 14 or 15 of the series and ends on a somewhat unsatisfying note, I think we'll find in the end that it comes down to each situation, especially if an anime goes through the entire story of a manga or longer than the manga you will find the people are more of a fan of the anime but if the anime cuts off abruptly people will be more inclined to read the manga to finish the story
