Hunter:Part Two- Pern

Even though no one reads this here is the next part… Since this was a school project, there needs to be the obligatory characterization… So yeah, and the first part is somewhere in here… His first hunt won’t happen until the next part…

Pern was powerfully built,
So strong he needed no hilt.

His skin was tanned brown,
And he always wore a frown.
---
He only felt thrill on the hunt,
Or any other crazy stunt.
---
When he first began,
He was less of a man.
---
While younger he was rather short,
But was skilled enough to take down a fort.
---
Many people though him odd,
Even the Elder called him a clod.
---
Later in life his tan had faded,
And the young ones felt jaded.
---
His skill was remarkably flawless,
While making his prey jawless.
---
But his strength began to wane,
Just like a summer rain.
---
Even with whitened hair and beard,
He was still to be feared.
---
Now he only goes to fight,
Just to see his opponents’ fright.
---
Though he is old he’s an enigma,
With his armor covered in Sigma.
---
His knees are always weak,
Even when feeling at his peak.
---
All of this he tries to seal,
Just as one would a keel.
---
But he never has given in,
No matter the pain within.

Hilt- the handle of a weapon- He can swing a sword without the leverage of a hilt. That is strength.
“But was skilled enough to take down a fort”- He could kill an entire fort of men an monsters.
Clod- A stupid person.
Jaded- Worn out- The young kids were tired of hearing of his exploits.
Sigma- Greek letter- His armor is adorned with the symbol.
Keel- Bottom of the hull of a boat, it needs to be waterproof, so it needs to be “sealed.”
