Metal and punk both fall under rock from 1945 and 1990. And you know, I wasn't really trying to include them in this thread. I was just mentioning that I enjoy them on the side.
You don't need to overreact and go bashing other people's tastes. That's sort of rude.
Oh, and I quite enjoy Buddy Holly as well. Peggy Sue is indeed a great song. My other 50s favorites are The Everly Brothers, Bo Diddly, and Bill Haley.
