Ah, well, most of my favorites seem to fall under what people call "classic rock," yes...but that's not to say I don't enjoy some modern rock and 90s material as well.
But yeah, my favorite band ever is Led Zeppelin. Has been ever since I heard "The Ocean." I now own all of their albums and rock out to at least one of them almost every day.
Other favorites that are "old": The Doors, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Van Halen, Blue Oyster Cult, Rush, Queen, Electric Light Orchestra, Deep Purple, Marc Cohn, Tom Petty (solo and with The Heartbreakers), The Eagles, The Who, America, Boston...
You know, I'll just stop there. There's way too many old acts I listen to for me to sit here and name them all.

Oh, and I'm talking about 70's ROCK. Not Metal. Metal sucks.

Sure they do. Listen to The Black Keys and tell me they don't sound like a 70s blues-rock band.
Also, ouch, poor metal fans. Metal is a form of rock, you know. I personally like some 80s heavy metal pioneers like Iron Maiden and Megadeth. And of course the ever-popular Metallica.
