Well, that was a pretty bad way to go about getting to know her.
Were you honestly expecting someone you don't know to be flattered that you admitted your 'love' for them in a letter?
Don't tell wimin you love them if the feeling is mutual. Good way to push them away
Also, why state your flaws at all? Don't make them obvious
