I did both ways.
So why some of the series are divided into separate seasons and some are not? This is inconstancy.

Actually, we don't just do it with xxxHolic Kei, some ppl can take 2 seconds out of their day to figure out that rather than have multiple series categories, for something that is just multiple seasons seemed kind of pointless and added excess categories, might as well split up Rouroni Kenshin which names most of it's seasons differently as well. Then I would have to get familiar with each anime I am adding, to know if the story/characters have changed or not. I am just saying that I have noticed inconstancy. I didn't know why some of the anime are split this way, but it didn't matter to me.
No problem, I will try to follow those directions as well as I can! :) And if I ever have any doubts - then I will gladly ask for your advice ^^
