I personally want to see it be more like Morrowind: Oblivion was somthing like 2.5 times bigger in terms of land mass, but Morrowind felt much more massive; More towns, more caves, more secrets, more stories, a journal that recorded everything about the world itself, forts that existed throughout the world, and an absolutly defined place that would be the purpose of place to get to, the dreaded Red Mountain. Also, every character had their own identity. Everyone had a story, a purpose, a reason. Talk to anyone, and they could have anything from advice, a mission, a background, a story. It even showcases the gods of the world, Vivec, Alexandria and that guy she killed. There was also huge mystery to it: Who were the dremora? What happened to the dwarves? How is it the Gods came to rest on Earth itself? Then there's the fact that people, places, weapons, items could be anywhere. Boots of the Blinding hiding in the wild, two different nords that were tricked by a woman, a nord that calls himself a gatekeeper to gain money from wandering people, the unkillable orc who held a sword to end all swords, a woman seeking a holy place of Vivec in the world, a man chased by those bastard dinosaur looking things, a dark elf that charmed a woman he robbed, a merchant, a researcher, farmers, slave traders, miners. Everything, everywhere was it's own identity.
Then again, with Oblivion you had much grander tales, unique worlds like when you entered Oblivion and the painting. The skills were simpler to upgrade, and wether or not your attack worked based on wether or not you could hit somthing, and THEN damage was determined, instead of all attacks based by chance on wether or not you hit, block, and so on. Weapons could do more, and were more unique. The world itself, was it easier to use however. Graphics of course were better, and you could do more than walk, talk, pay and kill. You could research, understand, connect, ride horses, assassinate, interact with everything in the world. Then you also have much more exlorative tales within each of the guilds, from the rise from Dark Brotherhood to Black Hand Speaker, stopping the corruption of a mercenary guild, stopping Necromancy in Cyrodil, STEALING A FUCKING ELDER SCROLL ITSELF!!!!!!!!
So, here's what I want: I want a land that shows me more people, gives me more stories, missions, places to explore. I want the grandness and exploration of Morrowind, the ease of use, massive tales and diversity to Oblivion, and just as many freaking books to read.
