Sega what? Master System? Because that was their first console, you know, and it wasn't that good.

But since almost nobody knows that the Master System exists, most people mean the Genesis when they say "durrr i have a Sega," so I'll assume that's what you meant.

Lol. The Playstation set the standard for Playstation RPGs, not RPGs in general. If anything set the overall standards, it was the SNES, which did it years before the PS1 even came out. And hell, even then, some of the standards were already established on the NES.

All the Playstation did was expand reuse RPG material and put it in 3D. Not that they weren't great, of course.
