1. Education is really important no matter what you want to do or where you go, but you're right that it can become really pricey. It all depends on what your situation is and where you are. There is a kind of an uneasy balance really because more expensive degrees => more exclusive chances => higher demand => higher prices and vice-versa... Kind of a mean cycle, you need money to get an education but you need an education to make money.
2. Education and talents go hand in hand I think because even if you do have natural talents, you won't get far with them unless you can expand them with education. When you teach someone something, they gain knowledge, and often knowledge is most valuable skill/talent of them all.
And this is all too relevant for me now because I'm trying to get into college soon...
