Just a thought



Every day we work, oh so tiresome and oh so boring but! This work must be done
or our families cannot eat and will not have a place to live
All day we build, go to work and return at the end of the day to rest only to repeat this cycle.
What are we but mindless drones that just do their job and never question anything for even though this work is hard we know that it has to be done.
Some of us build some go work to get food; others stay home and nurture kids.
But amongst all this there is always one who will speak out and question his way of life, I am one of these individuals.
I do not like doing the same work all day everyday in hopes that one day when I am older I can achieve a higher rank in this society.
Our leaders are close-minded they fail to see the wonders of exploration and adventure; they cannot understand why someone would question the government.
Our people live in fear of foreign invaders that seek to hurt our people and destroy our way of life.
To look around at my country is truly a wonder, to see all that our people have accomplished
But I yearn for something more something that very few of us dare to do, think.
But alas, I must return to work now, I have dreamed for too long and its time I go back to the cycle of life.
After all I am just an ant so what can I really do?
