The End of the Internet as We Know It?

This is outrageous. I am depressed and very angry to hear such news, but apparently the internet as we know it ends in 2012. So I am doing my best to spread the word so we can maybe stand up against this. For all of you who know Athene "Best Pally in the World", this is what he and his team have to report.

Now, Since this video was released in June, I am not sure what updates may or may not have been made to the original plan. Having said that, I'd like to hear some opinions, and if anyone has information on the matter at all, please share.

I don't believe this. The world itself is supposed to end in 2012 also.

This is Y2K all over again. Let's just see what happens.

If you would think about this from an alternative standpoint to where the world does NOT end in 2012; this is still a major problem. All you entertainment...manga, anime (yes including this site), forums, maybe PRON (yes that counts as entertainment). all those non-mainstream websites that don't get supported by the package you buy; you will have to pay xtra for. and if you don't feel like paying, these sites will not get visited. That means taht all the websites like this one that are dependent on visitors clicking ads will have to shut down. No one wants to continue to maintain a website with money out their pockets when no one is even visiting....

Actually, I'm going with that this is not real. My main reason that this isn't, is because it's coming from Athene.

I agree with Ryuu. I came in here thinking he was talking about the dwindling amount of internet space and how we're running out of viable website url names so we'd be using .corn or .game or somthing like that at the end.

Well you may have a point, but after talking to some people in the IT field, they say it is believable that companies may be doing this because of the worldwide internet crash that is calculated to be around that time. So many people are using the net now that experts estimate a global server overload and crash, in 2012. From a business standpoint, monopolizing the internet like this would be a logical approach to the problem.

So the point is, they have some credibility in their statement. But i will be reading more into it, so tune in.

I had this elaborate thing all wrote out, then I saw the video. Did anyone notice how there were 4 guys and 1 girl and all the guys looked like lonely losers and the woman looked uncomfortable? I can't take this seriously. Nice try.

You wanna know why she acted like that? It's because of the way Athene treats her. He treats her like shit and calls her "his bitch". The one thing I want to do in my life, is beat the living shit out of that guy...

This WILL not happen. If it were to happen everyone would just say to hell with internet. The company's would lose EVERYTHING. Its as simple as that really.

sry the l33t community would not allow it. these channels will be serverraped. the old internet would survive via ftp's over some kind of dns structure. this gets a phail
