The Bailout
 

So, for those of you who live in the US and for those of you who have jobs and pay your taxes, heres some good news! You all heard of that bailout of AIG from the government, where the good government gave AIG over 80 billion dollars to help the company out. Would you like to know what the owners of AIG did with some of that money? They took a week long vacation in Cali. If I remember some of the numbers they spent over 250000 on massage therapy, about 300000 on food, 200000 on their rooms and oh so much more. Then they went in and rehired the ex ceo, who btw when fired from his previous posistion was given over 10 million, and are paying him 1 mill a month to do another horrible job. Anyone getting mad about this whole situation?

I'm just curious how it's ok to do that, but CA is in a financial crisis right now, and the state government can't even get a loan.

wow i hate this country....the government could of done something a lot better with that money....like put it into welfare...or back into the social security funds...or maybe thats where they pulled the money from

do you really think there was that much left in social security to pull out? that's why I think Bush was so gung ho about shutting down that system, b/c they didn't want anyone to find out how little money was really left in it

the bail didn't do crap. it's being a roller coaster but around my time when i watch the news it's down to -800 again.

The bailout hasn't even really been "put in" yet. They don't just throw everything out immediately. A small bit is given (I forget the number), and if a change is seen, the rest, the majority of the bailout is taken in implemented.

What Dolly said. I haven't heard a single thing about that money actually being used yet, just that it had been approved to do 'Something' with it.

Holy crap, whe I heard that I almost imploded. It pisses me off and I want to greet them with a special handshake to their FACE!...oh well...at least gas prices are down...

Our damn government is so F*#ked up, they already get paid too damn much and now they give themselves a raise. Ughhhhhhh!!!!!!! I have to say this is all GEORGE W. BUSHES FAULT!!! HE should have stepped in to help this country out when we needed him the most but nooooooo!!! he is too worried about other countries and his own wallet!!!
