what state do you live in

What state do you live in? if you go TLDR you will miss the question

A deceptively cpmlicated question. One that you have probably never given a full minute to think about. Lets take a look why nobody you know lives in a state.

BLACK'S LAW DICTIONARY FIFTH EDITION (not yelling, title is in all caps) in part

STATE, n. A people uccupying a fixed territory bound together by common-law habits and custom into one body politic exercising, through the medium of an organized government, independent sovereignty and controll over all persons and things within it's boundaries, United States v. Kusche

In its largest sense a "State" is a body politic or a society of men. Beagle v. Motor Vehicle ACC

a body of people occupying a definite territory and politically organized under one government. State ex rel

term may refer to either a body politic of a nation (e.g. United States) or to an individual government unit of sutch nation(e,g. Wisconsin)

The people of a State, in their colective capacity, considdered the party wronged by a criminal deed; the public; as in the title of a cause, "The State vs. A.B."

To many this may seem like gyberish but in reading, it seems noteworthy that at no point in these cases/definitions does it say that the land/groung/territory is the state, in fact it makes distinctions between the state and the territory. it seems from reading this that just beause I am in the airea known commonly as the state of wisconsin I am not legally within the state.
But I could be wrong because of this thing that is mentioned regularly called a "body politic", lets take a look at what this dictioinaty has to say about that.

BODY POLITIC or CORPORATE. A social copmact by witch the whole people covenants with each citizen, and each citizen with the whole people, that all shall be governed by certain laws for the common good. Uriciche v. Kolesar
(hmmm have I done that?... monday I want to subway tuesday I tobaganed down a steep hill wednesday I flew to the moon by way of rootbeer and mentos thursday I lazily drifted back friday I arived back in a way that panicked NASA and sunday I woke up in a veitnameese hospital in a full boody cast, nope no compact, what else is it defined as)

Also a term applied to a municipal corporation, school district, county or city. State or Nation or public associations.
Utah State Building commision, for Use and benifit of Mountain States Suplyc CO., v.Great Ammerican Indemnity CO.

Ok give me a moment... hmmmm am I a municipal corporation... hmmm no, I guess not. what about a school district... no definitly not. am I a county, city, state, nation or public association?... Hmmm no, no, no, no and maby not.
ok so the second definition ads no help, lets take annother look at the first one. That word compact is sticking out in my mind, lets look at it.

COMPACT, n. An agreement or contract between persons, nations or states.

a contract between parties witch creats obligations and rights capable of being enforced, and contemplated as sutch between the parties.
A mutual consent of parties

hmm have I consented or contracted to ba a part of a body politic

lets see.

CONTRACT(many definitions are only in part because I am typing all this but the definitions for contract takes 2.5 pages so I will only have the eliments of a contract)
an agreement between two or more persons witch creates an obligation to do or not do a particular thing. it's essentials are competent parties(added note, both mentaly and of subject matter), subject mater a legal consideration mutuality of agreement and mutuality of obligation.

well firts I will say to my knowledge I have not agreed to to any obligations.
seccond considdering title 26(internal revinue code) alone is as as thick if not more so than a phone book I am not competent to the subject matter of whatever agreement they think I have.

Yea I'm pretty sure I dont live in a state, but I want to ask what state do you live in?(I am allready assuming people out there will respond with comments like annoyance, boredom, hunger so if you do that try to meke it hilarious)

Oh, right I should have considered non Americans out there. what country do you live in?

COUNTRY. The territory occupied by an independent nation or people, or the inhabitants of such territory. In the primary meaning "country" denotes the population, the state, the nation, or the government, having possession and dominion over the territory.

NATION. A people, organization of men, existing in an organized jural society, usually inhabiting a distinct portion of the earth, speaking the same language, using the same customs, possessing historic continuity, and distinguished from other groups by their racial origin and characteristics, and generaly, but not necessarily, living under the same government and sovereignty. Worcester v. Georgia

Once again where you think you live is usually not the land, but how could it be, how could a prosecutor bring a case in the name of the land?

State of Wisconsin v. Fazenda

Charge, excessive speed

Fazenda,(question for prosecuting attorney) Is there evidence of a complaining party?

prosecuting attorney, That would be the state of wisconsin.

Fazenda, objection non responsive, my question was not who is the complaining party, my question is asking is their evidence of it's existence.

prosecuting attorney,(shuffling papers) ubb unn ummm aaa... Your Honor, I'm withdrawing the charges.
