The state of Single Player RPG'S
http://www.1up.com/do/feature?pager....=0&cId=3176786
This is a large interview with 4 members of different development studies for videogames, about the current state and future of the single player RPG game. Personally, some of my favorite games are single player RPG's, like Elder Scrolls 3 and 4, the PS1 Final Fantasy's, the Paper Mario titles and Phantasy Star Online. It's an interesting read, so if you're a big RPG fan (Single player of course) you may like it alot. |
I dislike multi-player RPGs, tbh.
I believe many RPG games ware really overlooked, but I'm trying my best to play every single one of them, and right now, I'm going for the PS1 games, which has the largest chunk of them. These games are the only reason that makes me like gaming, and if they came to fade, then I have no reason to play any other type of games. Oh, Thanks for the share, btw. |
you know the future is somewhat bleak when dragon age: origins is the only single player RPG this season, cause the truth is, it sucks, i hate it, to me it handles like a PS1 game, if i wanted to play a PS1 game i would have busted the PS1 out, no this crappy game is for 360 and it seemed like a rushed game, especially when you hear that Bill Roper guy saying the gameplay mechanics and controls are becoming more sophisticated when clearly in this game it wasnt at all to me! i dont see it getting better

With the age of online gaming most people don't want a single player experience.

well i like the single player RPG, the online ones annoy me to a point, its just sad to see whats happening slowly but surely
another input, Demon's Souls is pretty much a single player RPG, excluding the annoyances of having others jump into your game every so often, but that is how a real RPG should be, just give the option of turning off online play, cause me i like playing and paying attention to the story AND ONLY THE STORY! i dont like f'n around with extra things unless its on a second playthrough |
