i am curious if this discussion will be deleted or if it will be allowed to go on...

but the question is, Should porn be illegal?

there are strong opinions that porn makes men more prone to rape and that they are more likely to perfer women with shaved genitalia and that will eventually evolve to an interest in child porn. also feelings that porn breaks down families is a popular discussion.

so what do u think about porn? is it good or bad and why?

I"m personally a fan of porn but the subject is as diverse as religion. you'll get very different opinions from both sides.

agreed however do u think that by watching porn will make u want to run around forcing women into sex?

why ban porn? granted there's some sick stuff to be seen out there, but are people so scared by an act that's necessary for the perpetuation of life? Sex as an act of pleasure is something known only to humans and dolphins (in some cases there can be cross over, but you don't want to rent that video). It's something that has been performed and recorded for almost as long as the history of civilization can go back. Just because we have greater technology and the ability to dish it out in greater quantity and variety doesn't make it any different. A sin is a sin and an interest is an interest. The only complaint in my mind is that it's filthy. It degrades the actual act of intercourse, but heck, whatever kicks the mule, right?

Short version: The only reason to ban pornography is that there is a belief that it can lead to sexual assault, rape and various crimes of a sexual nature

This link shows a study on the relation between crimes like this and pornography in Japan.

For those of you who don't know: Tentacle porn, hentai, doujins, monster porn, rape, sexual assault, whatever. EVERY SINGLE TOPIC THAT CAN INCLUDE SEX IN SOME WAY EXISTS IN JAPAN THROUGH FICTIONAL MEDIA!!!!

Guess what though? They have very few rape cases, sexual assault, whatever. The porn center of the world has the least sexual crimes in the world.


Porno does not lead to sexual deviants all over the place. And that's the short version.
