:[ Which of these do we have too much of? ]:
Which of these do you feel we have too much of these days?
1. Taxes http://riflesready.files.wordpress.c.../03/taxes1.jpg 2. Guns http://www.usnews.com/dbimages/maste...uns_21001c.jpg 3. Homelessness http://www.davestravelcorner.com/pho...s-Santiago.JPG 4. Government http://www.ccabroadband.com/images/us-government.jpg |
Hmm it's hard to choose between taxes and homelessness but I chose the latter.
Taxes Sure are a trouble. They take a lot of money but still the government needs it, though probably it doesn't need all of it... Guns There were always guns and weapons. Recently in human history (I mean the last century or so) their number has decreased significantly so we cannot complain that much. Homelessness Yup! That's really bad. People living on the streets... And I'm not talking about developing countries but the developed ones. It is the 21st century!!! We can't be having these kinds of things in countries so evolved! Government Too much!?! I always thought we had too little of it... What I mean is that we don't have many skilled and talented politicians nowadays. Edit: Hahah! I just noticed! Didn't you choose spirit? What's your opinion??? |
Taxes - We have too much.
The government makes its money from taxes, and yes all countries do need some form of tax or another. But when it reaches the point where they take so much money, but still are in massive debts, and they have no alternative other than more taxes, that's when it's too far. Where is our money from commerce? Hell, the United States was colonized in the first place because of its natural resources, and the colonists were able to be sustained for generations just by selling and shipping to other countries. Too bad we depend so much on foreign stuff nowadays we can't even do that. There should be some other more efficient ways to generate funds rather than all the taxing. Maybe we should start a war, that always boosts the economy greatly. Oh wait, we did start a war over in the Middle East, and it's been putting us billions of dollars into debt for the past 7 years. We need a real war. Guns - We don't have enough. Now I say this because... think about it. The reason people with guns can get what they want is because they have the potential to harm the person until they submit, they have more power. I think everyone should have a gun. Why? If everyone had a gun, if everyone were toting around firearms, then all gun problems would stop. People couldn't be held up at gunpoint for their money because they have their own gun and will fight back. People can't threaten to rob a bank because everyone in the bank will pull a gun on them. The reason why guns are so powerful is because they are used against people that don't have guns. The same could be said for military power. I mean, imagine how powerful the US would look if everyone else had the same military might we have. Not so world-dominating now, huh? Homelessness - Keep a balance of it. There's no way to really eliminate homelessness. It's just too much. If people can't afford a home, they live on the street, and unfortunately that's the way things are. It would be economically impossible to get all these people back into homes (it's most likely their fault for being that way in the first place). Fortunately the people who have homes are the majority. If people without homes were the majority, there could be a problem. They could rise up and cause chaos, making everyone wish they had paid that guy on the corner a dollar instead of sneering and walking by. But then if there were no homeless people, people might become unhappy and want more, and no one would need to buy homes anymore. Government - We think we have too much of it but we really don't have enough. Everyone is always saying "Down with the government" etc. Why are they saying this? It's because they are unhappy with what the government is doing. If the government did its job, then there would be no need for all this. The government needs to be able to solve our problems, but it doesn't, so people get mad. If the government does expand a bit to solve some problems, people still get mad because they say the gov't is getting too large. Grow up people. The only thing the government can do is expand. If it scaled back, you would lose the stuff you have now. The problem is that the government doesn't always expand just to solve problems. Sometimes it will make up problems as an excuse. That's when it's unnecessary. |

well i think that somettimes times their just crazy and sometimes they are nessary government i think that if were standing under a flag were not free ever thats what i think and the fact that when we really need them there not ever there so whats the point on relying on them homelessness its really sad how many of them we have how many people are loseing there jobs guns just causes more war we dont need guns! war is a horrble thing to want a horrblr thing to need.. :fruit: |
how about all of it?
|
mm stuck between taxes and government. basically on the verge of having too much government, but go to go with taxes.
|
There's too much of them all...
But I'll go for Taxes... The Government always needed taxes to have funds for the country but yeah, sometimes they take too much of it, making people have the burden of paying taxes for the nation's sake... |
taxes - too much
taxes in general are unfair, but necessary. The problem with taxes is that you end up paying for things that are either against your ideals, against your morals, or against you personal development. To help all is to help yourself is what it looks like on the outside, but in many ways you're responsible as a tax payer to compensate the short comings of others (individual and government alike) This isn't to say taxes are a horrible thing, but I do believe there are taxes that are unnecessary. guns - too much I say too much not out of quantity, but out of quality. Guns seem to be losing their practicality and while many would say guns need to be abolished for peace and all that jazz, I'd really prefer just to see manufacturers making guns that are useful and necessary. Everyday people with military weaponry and automatic shotguns and shit is overkill. I don't think we need overkill is all. Homelessness - too much There's really no means of dealing with this to elimination. There's numerous causes for people being on the street, and many of them are a direct result of the system our society has made. People fall through the cracks, and of course one person left down and out is one person who doesn't need to be where they are. It's going to be a perpetual problem, and I say so long as one person's homeless, there's one too many. Guv'ment - too little Like most have said, it's a quality issue. Any government requires proper management and when left to the hands of politicians, error and lethargy and inaction is bound to sneak it's way in. government is an asshole that needs cleaning. |
