Anime Fuel Community - Pierce the Heavens Episode 1: the story begins...

In this day in age the only thing Humanity as to call home is Space. Earth

was destroyed by our own greed and lust now it is nothing more then a

waste land. After reaching out to the stars we have found ourselves in

possession of the greatest gift humanity has ever received called Pierce.

Pierce is the ability to control one or two elements in the universe these

elements are: Fire, Wind, Water, Rock, Lighting, Light, Dark, Metal, and

Wood. However because the hearts of humans is easily corrupted the ones

who gave us Pierce also gave us a prophecy that a man will come and be

blessed by the Gods of this Galaxy and thus he shall be called Touketsu the

God of Steel and Lighting. This is where our story begins…

Here we find a grand stadium, were we also find the high priest and his

three children. His oldest daughter, Mizuko, has just turned eighteen.

Mizuko was the most beautiful daughter of the High Priest and every fighter

wanted to be her Champion and since she was now eighteen one fighter

could become her champion therefore the Imperial Tournament begun for the

thirteenth time. “This is the thirteenth Imperial Tournament, where Piercers

form all over the galaxy comes to claim their right as Emperor of the Galaxy

and win the grand prize of one of my children” said the high priest as he

addressed the crowd below and the sound of Cheers echo though the great

halls of the stadium. “Father” said the oldest daughter Mizuko “if it’s all the

same I’d like to place a Side bet” she continued as he looked at her father in

the eyes

“Very well what shall this side bet be?” her father replied as he patted her

head.

“I bet my Champion will win all his bouts without a scratch” she said as she

stood up and looked at the fighters trying to find the one fighter whom she

believes can win all his bouts without a scratch. “Ah, and there he is father,

the man in black with white hair.” She said as she found her Champion.

“You there with the White hair, what is your name, fighter? The high priest

asked as the man slowly turned around and placed his sword across his

chest with his right arm behind his back and bowed to them. “I am Touketsu

Setsway.” He said to the high priest. Touketsu was a slender man and not

very tall. He had pure white hair with fiery red eyes. He dressed in all black

with a long coat on, and a button up shirt with the collar popped up. His

Katana matched him. It was black hilt and sheath alike with a cold steel

blade. He even wore fingerless gloves on his hands

“That’s an unusually name Touketsu.” The high priest replied to him as he

beckoned him to come there. Touketsu bowed again and headed to the

stairs once up there he places his sword on the ground still holding it by the

sheath and his right hand still behind his back. “You wanted to see me high

priest.” He said as he bowed again.

“Yes, my daughter has a request for you.” The high priest replied as he

stepped aside so Touketsu could see his daughter. Mizuko bowed to him and

said “I have chosen you as my Champion and I believe you can win every

bout without a scratch. Will you do this for me?” as she looked him in the

eyes Touketsu became struck unable to speak for a moment. He shook it off

and said “If it is you will so be it my lady.” Then he walked back down to the

Stadium floor. As the tournament began and the fighters started Mizuko

became shocked and thought she might have chosen wrong with Touketsu

seeing as the other fighters were strong and fast until Touketsu entered the

arena he drew his sword with a cold look in his eye as he high priest smiled

looking at his daughter knowing she made a wise choice. “My daughter,

don’t look so worried. Touketsu will do fine, because you see he is the son of

Ketsu the Chief of the Royal guards.” As he said this Touketsu placed the

tip of his sword on the ground behind his right foot with this right side facing

his opponent his eyes still colder then ice and his left hand held his Sheath

until he threw it out of the arena this fight was going to be a sight to

remember. However it didn’t last long within the first few seconds of the

match Touketsu was victorious. The look on Mizuko face was one of pure

shock and awe this was something the daughter of the high priest couldn’t

foresee, something that hid itself form her sight and her mind the son of

Ketsu the greatest member of the Royal Guard the Commander and Chief of

the Imperial forces this was her Champion, Touketsu Setsway. As this ran

through her head the tournament continued until the last match and

Touketsu won all his bouts so far with out a scratch. As the last match

began Touketsu stood with the same stance as before as his opponent did

the same. “Fear not my daughter I’m sure Touketsu will win this too.” The

high priest said as he patted Mizuko’s head again. Before the match began

the two fighters showed what element they controlled as Touketsu raised his

sword lighting shot out at the ground and the sword of his opponent

contained four other blades within the main blade itself. “So you control

Lighting, eh” said the opponent just before the match began. Touketsu

didn’t reply but readied himself for a fight. As the fight unfolded the two

appeared to be evenly matched both men were fast and strong Touketsu

had one advantage he could use his lighting within his own body making him

able to jump form one side of the arena to the other with one step.

However his opponents other blades were fast enough to counter that

attack. As their swords clashed and their sweat hit the ground Mizuko

began to second guess her prediction again as she hung her head and fought

back tears thinking she’d lose her bet. “Cheer up my dear this fight isn’t

over yet, and besides Touketsu has the Upper hand” said the high priest as

Mizuko raised her head with a puzzled look in her face. She looked at her

father as if she wanted to know what he meant. “Look my dear, Touketsu is

using his Lighting to cancel the affects of his opponents Piercing. Just what

I’d expect from the son of Ketsu” right after the high priest said this

Touketsu stopped moving as his opponent threw the four other blades at him

with the look of victory in his eyes. All Touketsu did was snap his fingers

and the four blades dropped to the ground and Touketsu said “Let me say

this, you are a great fighter however you fail to see the strength of our

opponent lighting has the ability to cancel your control over metal by

electrically charging the metal, which means I now have control over your

blades.” As he said this he held his hand out and shocked the metal and they

rose off the ground and flew back to their old master and stopped just in

front of his face. “I believe this fight is over now.” Touketsu said as he

bowed before this opponent.

“Yes, I believe your right” his opponent replied as he bowed back to his. “By

the way, my name is Vincent.” His opponent continued as he stood up

straight again. After the tournament Touketsu and Mizuko went to live in

the imperial palace where they would stay till her younger sister turned

eighteen which was only one year. During that year Mizuko decide to marry

her Champion, Touketsu and became Mizuko Setsway the first Queen since

the first tournament over 2,000 years ago. As the end of the year drew

closer Mizuko’s father started to beg her to return to his house and abandon

her Husband. However Mizuko refused and by the fourteenth tournament

she remained by Touketsu’s side. During the tournament Touketsu notice

that Vincent was back in it this year and was doing much better then the

last one and thus he won it this year. As he finished his last match he

looked up to Touketsu and said “My lord, would you say I’ve improved over

the year.” As he smiled at him with confidence as Touketsu said “Yes, I’d say

you’ve improved greatly however you still fail to predict your opponents

moves and that’s why you were hit.” As he said this Vincent looked at him

with a Puzzled look and said “but my Lord, I haven’t been…” before he

finished a sharp pain thrust down his left side as a wound appeared across

his shoulder and he collapsed to the ground in pain unable to move. “Get him

some help I’d feel bad if my Sister-in-laws champion wouldn’t live to see his

own rule." This was only the beginning of the end of days for this part of the

galaxy Touketsu will soon be faced with a choice that will decide the fate of

humanity as we know it. However Vincent will also play a part in this and will

also have a choice to make. This is the last time the two will meet as

friends because on this day Destiny declared them to be mortal enemies…
