for it's straight forwardness, that video is actually something I'd encourage people to watch. The US government in particular is masked and twisted by so many forms of government that it's easily coming to the point of being something completely different from what it originally was. It's even amazing that as the US follows the same path as did the Romans, they can't help themselves but to continue on toward inevitability.

When the Constitution was written it was power to the people, for the people, and of the people. Now? The Constitution has been burned, only to become a dream that should not have been forgotten. We were born a republic, but are now a democracy. People should not trust the government, no matter how appealing there side of the story really is. I hope I get labeled a terrorist for my views. It would make life for me better.

the problem is people who expect the government to make life easy.they think that this higher power will make their lives flawless. we depend to much on the government. the united states fedral government was not supposed to have this much power over the people. that was for the smaller state governments. and then theres religion. religion is not supposed to have anything to do with the U.S. government on any level, yet people expect it to solve their problems and make things easy for them

its the people that is wrong with america.

edit: i really didnt answer the question that well.
the us is a democracy. and at the current state of the people thats a problem

You're right, they do depend upon the government too much. My mother can be an example but not a really good one. She was getting paid around $300 every 2 weeks at the job we work at. But the way gas prices were going half of that money went towards gas. To save money we got rid of a lot of stuff we thought were maybe taking money away (WoW, GameTap, cable T.V.) little by little. IRS wouldn't let her gain food stamps because she made $300. The IRS doesn't even count gas as a "necessity". My mom had to quit, and was sorry to say that it paid better to sit on her ass and do nothing and let the government take care of us.

Nobody can do anything else themselves anymore, and the government today makes it that way. People really don't have a choice in the matter.

It is troublesome when people are more afraid of their government than the government of their people. You can see rather strict contrasts in places like France where the government is weary of doing anything that might cause severe protests and reaction from the populace. One of the greatest problems is that a western life is made all too easy with all too many distractions from what it's government is doing. With no motivation to act on their governing rulers the people lose their freedom to live as they please rather than to live as something else dictates.
