I actually stopped caring about Naruto a long time ago. I realized that
1) there were too many irrelevant fillers
2) it got repetitive
3) it ran out of ideas for characters

My advice to you dear, is to come to this realization.

No. Until rescue Rukia arc, the story became bleh. Slow paced. The actions are pretty much predictable and feels to follow this formula:
1) Hero and Villain fight.
2) Hero got the upperhand, Villain doing the "just as planned", then unleashing hax
3) Hero beaten up bad, start to lose.
4) Villain doing finishing move, either a) someone save the hero or b) Hero reveals uberhax and defeat the villain.
5) repeat from 1) in next battle.

I agree. If you haven't taken my advice before or just don't want to, read the manga. It answers all of your questions and is so far ahead of the anime it isn't funny.

Will the writers of naruto kill him off when he becomes hokage?... An interesting question, one whose anser will blow your mind. Indeed a better question might be CAN the writers of naruto kill him off. The anser being in truth... no. It has become impossible for anyone to truly kill naruto for one very important rezion. The fans these strange creatures wouldn't allow naruto's death. I think thaf we can all agree that exactly 45 minutes after naruto's death is published there will be at lease 200 fan-fics writen and posted in witch he dose not. and that is why it would be impossible to kill naruto at this point.

If naruto dies then the whole story is a fail. It's almost predictable that he won't die because if you ask me, naruto is a story for the younger ages. Those kind of stories always end happy.
