Afro Samurai, one of the newer anime made in the last several years (And I'm assuming made in the U.S.) starring bad ass Samuel Leroy Jackson (More recently known for his performance on "Snakes on a Plane) has been known for a while to be slated for the videogame market.

This is the opening sequence to the game, and it's a tad strange, featuring bamboo that bleeds... alot... and they are being sliced by Afro's bandanna.

Just looking at the opening, we can guess they intend it to be splashy and bloody at every turn, presented in a cell shaded style. Rule of thumb though, sceptisism for every videogame that was made for a music band, movie, and anime.

Will this game be able to break the mold of general suck? Let's wait and find out.

The current rivalry at shooting games is awesome. Companies are trying to best each other and are making good games, keep it up!!!!

4 new videos have been released, and with actual gameplay.

The visual style looks good, and it looks that it will be faithful to the anime. As for the action, I'm not so sure. It blends some other games into it's own way of fighting, and the gore looks a bit tame even with dismemberment.
