It's the new AC game for the Wii. I've never played an Animal Crossing game, but some friends are pressuring me to get it (kinda don't want to). http://www.animal-crossing.com/cityfolk/
And while you discuss the game, should I buy it? xD

I have it. Since it's your first game, I say go for it, but I prefer Wild World on DS and the original on gamecube

I'll admit, I've played AC before on the game cube. But after about of an hour of playing, I noticed two things.

1. It wasnt nearly as good as Harvest Moon.
2. I couldnt kill anything/anyone in random acts of violence.

Yea that's the main reason I don't want it much..
It's too cutesy to me and nothing dies.

I don't mind cutesy games or anything like that, but Animal Crossing still managed to bore me. I somehow managed to enjoy it for about a week before I realized that this was going to just keep going...and going...and going. Forever. Nothing new. Sure, some new townsfolk show up now and then, and there's events and different bugs/fish to catch in different seasons, but you still ended up doing the same thing everyday: running around doing favors for people and catching things, while every once in a blue moon finding something good for your house that is always going to look stupid anyway.

So yeah...I'll be passing on this game, considering the first one didn't hold my interest.

Well, it makes a good gift for a younger player, so there's somthing for you... assuming the gamer hasn't been brought up being completly ruthless.

I have the first one on the Gamecube and I was sad to see I couldn't emo-fy my character! What the hell is up with that?!

I did like how it came with it's own memory card so that I wouldn't have to waste space on my other one for it. But when I first had it, it kept my attention for a few hours despite not having an emo character. I had to make do with a flaming t-shirt or a skulled one.
