You know there are rumors of this every few months, which is not to say i'm sure that it isn't true or that i care.

Anyway your post is very hard to read with no punctuation. At least use dots.

I just finished reading the announcement on Dattebayo and considering I've already heard on several other sites that crunchyroll is going to be releasing subbed versions of ongoing anime with the license holders, it seems real enough. Sure it sucks that we have to wait a week after it comes out to see it for free or pay to see it the same day it airs in Japan, but let's face it, at least they are still giving us an option to see it for free when they don't have to. They could have just forwarded a C&D to Dattebayo and not tried to fill the void in any way. Yes their sub might not be as good as DB's, but we have to respect the wishes of the licensing company, at least when we have no other recourse to fall back upon. And no matter how much we complain, if this is legitimate, then DB still won't be subbing the series, so we'll have to watch the Viz/Crunchyroll release regardless. Just be thankful this is being done on a small scale first to test it out. That way there is a chance group's like Viz will get better at it, and can ask questions of the prominent subbing groups such as DB, SS, Eclipse, DCTP, etc. Just think about it, this could have been an industry wide campaign which could have involved C&D's along with legal action against every sub group out there, effectively halting not just Naruto and 2 or 3 other series that Crunchyroll will be releasing(I heard about it over the course of the last week, don't remember which other series though) but every series everywhere, meaning that we'd have what is currently available and nothing more, not the end of any series that is currently ongoing, nor any new series slated to start in Spring. I guess what I'm trying to say is yes, it sucks, but it could be worse, so take the good where you can find it. In this case, it's that the series is still being subbed, it's just not DB doing it anymore.

you can always do subbing yourself? get a voice modulator program, record, then translate. rofl.

i dont mind if you get some misspelled word or even beening 1 week behind japan im only consern is if if they censer the anime that and skiping word or making new sentences that my only concern. i just hope they can handle the visters downloading on free day as well as keep the downloads speed as good as DB torrents id hate to wait an hour to get a 30 min show

pager, we are talking about Shipuuden, not the old Naruto. Vivek, this is what we are talking about http://dattebayo.com/pr/100 and banshee, i don't think there is going to be an option to dl it, we are talking about a streaming site here, part of what they are doing is trying to take away a person's option to dl the video so that if they want to watch it later they have to buy the dvd. So they are offering us a legal, legitimate way to watch each episode streamed, and then later purchase the dvd to see it rather than dl'ing a series, and burning copies to cd/dvd ourselves or saving on flash drives, which makes them no money. And Fro, a voice modulator prog? Wouldn't that be more useful in dubbing rather than subbing? And still leaves the problem of translation which is why sub groups exist.

I always forget to watch the second it comes out anyway, so patience isn't much of a downside for me as far as this deal goes. The thought of a downplayed sub is a little depressing, but I manage with broken english enough that i'm sure I'll make sense of what's going on.

What so if they delay it for week we'll just have a week without naruto then it will be back to normal essentially. It'll just be like they took a week off from airing an episode.

i am pretty sure that there will be people in japan who will offer a torrent or such online through the multiple sites. acquiring a version that isnt subbed will be easy translating it will be the issue. and ya what corwin saying is the legal way, but the versions will end up like the ones shown on cartoon network where parts are cut out, words are made differently, and we wont be receiving essentially the uncensored version which will suck.

but the only way to know will be when it first happens. we have time though so it should be alright
