OKAY. So my English teacher sent this in to be published today. I'm extremely excited about it and so I'm sharing it with you all. Enjoy~
--------
His eyes, so deep and dark, but yet so true,
Avoid the look of anguish on my face.
I search today, I want him to approve,
So in his heart, I’ll take my righteous place.
It seems my fate is blind and unaware,
Of he, the one entangled in his pride.
Do I lack affection, am I unfair?
It’s too involved to take it all in stride.
But now the bitter words flow free from him,
They cause the silent downfall of my soul.
I question where I wronged, all on a whim,
Before my callous dearest took his toll.
The struggle took a piece of me with it,
But left a lesson I won’t soon forget.
