I pick cremation because i just can't, nor do i want to, imagine my corpse buried and rotting in the ground.

I feel the same way as suigintou. my body is just a shell. when I'm dead, it no longer matters...no matter what it'll rot. really, you might as well get some use out of it if you can. if it's that much of a bother, throw me out in the woods and let the wild animals eat me.

I'd do neither. I want to be frozen in ice. It's way better than getting burned to ashes and having someone accidentaly spill your ashes on the ground and then sweep it up with a over used dirty house broom and defintely not burial because i don't want bugs eating my body. It freaks me out thinking about it.

Well, I would rather wait for the time when they have bio-implants, or have my mind transfered. But if I don't make it that long, I'd chose viking style. Put my body on a small boat and set it on fire. Or maybe japanese style.

I'd like to be cremated, and then have my ashes shipped back to my old hometown, so that they could be buried near where I was born.
I don't know why I'd like to burned first instead of just plain buried, but that's the way is will be for me.

I want my wife, as many of my worldy possesions put on a wooden boat set out to sea and then set on fire...which I guess is cremation, but more dramatic. It would probably have to be in international waters.

being eaten and being burned are the two ways I'd like to avoid death, so they're definitely going to be avoided after death, regardless of my then non-existent feelings toward the matter. mummification sounds cool, though I'd prefer to be shot into space and blown up in a showy explosion. or fired off at the speed of light, if by chance the technology's readily available by then.
