Let Things Be
Seconds ticks seasons change
As we all say, “No pain no game”
We watch as our lives pass us all by
Wishing we didn’t do this
Wishing we didn’t say that
Wishing we didn’t see this
Wishing didn’t hear that
Wishing we didn’t believe this
Wishing we didn’t go with that
Wishing away wishing about
Wishing all day wishing all night
Wishing we did this
Wishing we said that
Wishing we saw this
Wishing we heard that
Wishing we believed this
Wishing we went with that
Dwelling on this dwelling on that
Dwelling all day dwelling all night
No matter how much we wish
No matter how much we dwell
We can’t go back to the past
The past is the past
What happened has happened
So learn from it now
And keep it from happening again later
We wish that this didn’t happen
We wish that that did
We wish that this wasn’t said
We wish that that did
We hope and wish that this won’t happen
We hope and wish that that will
When really we should just let things be
We should leave the broken pieces on the floor
That we can’t pick up and fix
No matter how much we want to
No matter how much we try
We can’t fix it
What was done was done
What was said was said
So just leave the broken pieces on the floor
For someone else who can
For someone else who will
Pick them up and fix them
And put them back together again
So just move on and let things be
This happen for a reason
Whether if we know what the reason is
Or understand it
If we know it
All we should do is just
Let things be
Seconds ticks seasons change
As we all say, “No pain no game”
We watch as our lives pass us all by
And we should
Learn from all of our mistakes
And live our lives
How we want to
Letting things be
How they are
We should stop trying to pick up and fix
And put them back together again
Things that we can’t fix
But live and treasure the things that
We have at the time
That we have them
And fix the things that we can fix
Letting the broken pieces on the ground
Stay on the ground
Till the day that someone
Who can
Pick them up and put them back together again
Till the day we say “good bye”
On our deathbeds
The second we die
Seconds ticks seasons change
As we all say, “No pain no game”
We watch as our lives pass us all by
Wishing we didn’t do this
Wishing we didn’t say that
Wishing we didn’t see this
Wishing didn’t hear that
