Black Rose.
(It's a song inspired by my story called Black Rose, maybe you will see the book on the shelves some day, i hope)
My heart hears what you cannot say,
As you avert your gaze,
As you wander through my dreams,
Are you even there at all?
The truth lies within your eye*,
As you try to make me see,
The person that you are,
The man that you could be,
Oh, I sit and wonder why.
It takes so long to say
To admit you lost your way
Once upon a time,
Oh, I wish that I could see
The sort of man that you will be
Should I be balancing on this path?
I will fall eventually.
You protect your secrets,
But you cannot stop the lie,
I watch it tear you apart,
From me you try to hide.
The truth lies within your eye,
As you try to make me see,
The person that you are,
The man that you will be,
Oh, I sit and wonder why.
It takes so long to say
To admit you lost your way
Once upon a time,
Oh, I wish that I could see
The sort of man that you will be
Should we balance on this path?
We could fall eventually.
There’s only darkness in your past,
But I will be your light,
I will guide you though this blood,
Take my hand and breath tonight.
Because I sit and wonder why,
I’m even here at all,
I admit I lost my way,
And now I can straighten out my fall,
Because I do not need to see,
The sort of man that you will be.
We will walk this winding path,
Together.
*This is supposed to be singular, before you comment.
