First SOTW...

Here is whats going to happen. As soon as I see a couple more active graphics artists I will start up the first SOTW, I was hoping to start it this weekend but I just don't see enough activity going on in here. So if anyone in the forum uses PS please let it be known so I can start this, I would really like to see the talent we have here.

So please again, PS artists please post here to let it be known you are alive and if you will join in for fun. Thank you for reading.

P.S. nejih94, an Art Judge is a user that heads up or administrates the entire art section of the forum. It is also an Art Judge's responsibility to host competitions... such as the SOTW.

That's part of what this thread is here to determine. The competitions will only start up if there is a reasonable amount of possible entrants.

InDoc, Gogo and myself make 3 as far as I know.

You would simply PM your piece to Gogo through the forum's messaging system.

SOTW is short for Signature of the week so it would have to be in the form (or size) of a forum signature such as the image that appears after Gogo's post.

PS is short for Photoshop. It's a rather popular piece of image editing software.

The entrants aren't limited to those that use Photoshop though. There are other free applications like GIMP.

Thank you all for replying. We have 3 people who could enter so far we need 1-2 more to have a good competition though. So please if you use Photoshop or Gimp or any other image editing program to make signatures please reply here.

Gogo since your the judge normally you couldnt enter the contest so does that rule apply to this contest?

I cannot enter the contest, I'm just saying the only ones I know of on the forums are those people including myself. I however cannot join. But as I said 1-2 more people would make it 4 or 5 to enter the first one so it would be nice. Hopefully I can set it up next weekend.

That depends on how he plans on setting up the competitions. If he creates it in the form of a public poll then yeah, he can enter. But if he creates it in the form of a normal thread with multiple users set as judges, including himself, then it would probably not be best for him to enter.

Holy crap, I wish this many people had wanted to do the SOTW while they were going. Since it looks like we have a veritable harvest of people looking for a SOTW I will start it up again next week on sunday.
