Just played L4D a bit, I can see the downside to multiplayer- people not knowing that its team oriented!
I had so many teammates running waaaay ahead and getting killed or taking all the medpacks because they're trying to kill 3 whole mobs solo.
Unlike most fps you can heal teammates and rescue them but you can't be rescued if you ditched your team, its not call of duty!
I did like the solo play though so I'm still looking forward to retail.

thats what makes this game so unique. When people finally start understanding that you need the team to survive then multiplayer will be alot more fun. Still bugs to work out, but it will be a pretty decent game.

You know what I love most about this game so far? Versus mode. Holy crap, I love playing as the Infected.. especially when those events come up where you get to run amok as the Tank. Soooo much fun. And Teamwork is just as much apart of playing the zombies as it is the humans. If you dont work together as the Infected, then they'll just make it through to the end.

I got the PC version yesterday (I need sweet graphics!) and so far co op is much better than it was on the demo!
Its my new favorite LAN party game. I haven't done the single campaign yet though.

Back to what i was going to say i played the demo (PC) and i thought it was nuts i seriously plan to pick this game up i am a big lover of Valve games since i am a Huge CSS player i was reluctant to play it at first but when i did it was seriously alot of fun however i did notice the pistols seemed i dunno abit oped cuase i seemed to be able to beast anything when i had dualies the only thing that did my arse in was the small clip and the shotguns where seriously oped aim for the head and watch the new paint job in the house the autoshotty was insanely oped not so much the pump i guess pump head shots where 1 hit close range but if you where some distance they could survive it the autoshotty was froget about it that thing aim just about the neck and watch head explode thing was horriabbly oped i hope they fix that Expert mode was seriously hard and i liked that we tried with my on-line gameing clan on expert and we got owned hard we tried it several times and each time we just got raped furthest we made it on expert was almost the entire way through the subway tunnel but then a tank just brutally had his way with us it wasnt even cool all in all from what i played 4/5 there where some lag issues and connection issues people not just me where haveing it just seemed to be alittle rampent i only had one time a connection issue but i know it was there and there where sometimes lag would all the sudden spike up in the game some weapon op issues i hope they fix not that i mind just once you got that autoshotty it basicly made the game all over seriously no joke you could merc the hell out of a witch with the auto shotty and i have heard never done this or seen it myself but heard auto shotty can one hit a witch in the demo or could have since you cant play the demo no more i never seen that however so i honestly have no idea if thats true or not well sorry for the novel folks and those who plan on getting it for PC send me a msg and we can hook up one day and play

You have just defiled proper grammar in sooo many ways.

Anyways.. VS mode freaking rocks. I've been playing almost every day so far with the 30+ friends that I just randomly picked up while playing it. And holy crap, Expert is nuts when you finally get to play through the full scenario. You cant do it without a full group of 4 people gunning through it, and even then you have to be on top of your game, communicating with each other, or you're screwed.

You're better off with the PC version. We get mods and such. In fact, someone is already in the works of making the Dawn of the Dead remake Mall for the game. A walkthrough of the entire map looked freaking awesome. Also, with the PC version you can tweak the settings as you wish and really it doesnt require a high-end computer because the Source engine is fairly old.

Also.. it's cheaper than the 360 one.

I tried this for the 360 over a friends house and it is amazing. It reminds me a whole lot of Counter Strike (made by the same people). The only reason I might get it for the 360 over the PC is that a lot of my friends got it for it. The PC community will have a more custom stuff, a lot like the CS community now.

Here's the lowdown on this game: It's good, not great.

Let me elaborate: 4 different campaigns with 4 different characters. [Keeping emphasis on the number 4].

At first, the game is very great, but that feeling of excitement nosedives into mediocrity. There are very few 'special' types of zombies. 4*, if I'm not mistaken: The Witch, The Tank, The Hunter, and the Smoker. [Zombie horde not withstanding]. The game has very little dialogue and each campaign finishes with you radioing for help then defending your current location until said help arrives. Exciting, right? No.

There was some 'Whoa...' moments, for example: Shooting off a car alarm will trigger the zombie horde from all directions. Others being the cries of The Witch and trying not to catch her attention, because well, she's one powerful son of a bitch.

The multi-player aspects of this game are pretty good, I'd expect nothing less from Valve. Basically, you play either The Heroes or The Infected [specials only]. It is, without a doubt, exceedingly more fun playing The Infected because stopping The Heroes is just plain fun, not to mention each of their special abilities. The game also has co-op (which is no big whoop in current gaming trends) which is pretty self-explanatory.

The game is definitely worth a rent or 5, but like I said, its excitement is short-lived.

Other than that I totally agree with MugenLucky for you, the pc version will never run out of new content thanks to Garry's Mod. [I'm sure L4D is supported by GM].

1. if you incampasitated then they kick you...*flipping through stratagy guide*ok the guide doesnt say>.> damn book
2. as muen said its probably a hunter if you describe what they/it looks like we will know

dude, i had the same problem. you gotta wait till she stands up- when she is getting up, keep the crosshair on her head and when shes fully upright blow the shit outta her.

I borrowed a 360 today (I usually play PC) and man my head hurts from all the shaking I've had to do while playing with some people. I got my achievements for the day though "Jump shot," "Dead stop" and yes I too was "Cr0wnd" its not much but its a nice start for hard mode lol I'd give out the player tag but its not mine.
