I like both. Writing poetry is fun only when it's weird, I don't like usual "poetry" like 'I hate myself' or 'I love you'. And for the reading part, I like horror stories/novels, or adventure/sci-fi like Jules Verne.

Man, I write at least a poem a day, and I'm still not tired of it. I really cannot go a day without cranking out a few lines in a notebook.

Of course, if you ask me, reading poetry is an essential part of writing it...at least writing it well. Learning by example is better than fumbling over your own wordiness.

Nevertheless, I write more poetry than I read, and I get more enjoyment out of writing it.
